Ortiz and his manager stated last week that they were never contacted by Usyks team.

You guys are crazier than Usyk himself. Dude hasn't had 1 HW bout yet you want him fighting AJ or Wilder by the end of 2019.
How about stepping toe by toe into the HW waters...how about a couple Travis Kaufman level boxers first to gauge his ability at 215-220 pounds?

Chisora is the gatekeeper of the HW division in the UK. USYK will probably fight Chisora first.

It all depends on who they have listed as top HWs.

If we scratch off Wilder, Tyson Fury, Joshua, and whoever Joshua fights next, I could see Parker, Hughie Fury, or someone of that level being a "top man" but a beatable first fight for Usyk. Enough dough, and it could happen. I do believe his team though, Usyk won't waste time. I just hope they manage him sensibly.

6’3 220lbs. Sounds like a natural HW to me.

Anyways, Takam should be a good first fight. Former top 10 HW but long in the tooth, can still **** and no fight lined up.

My concern is this: if you’re a top 10-15 HW do you want to be the first guy to get beaten by someone moving up from CW? That Bellew KO was KO of the year. If usyk did that to someone 30lbs heavier than him their career is hurt big time

I think everyone's missing the point with predictions, his debut is most probably going to be in the States so logically it will be American. The top American fighters are Wilder, Miller,Brezeale,Hunter and Ruiz Jr. We can take Wilder off as his most probably rematching with Fury. Miller will Miller risk this fight as he could be Joshua's next opponent do I doubt it. Brezeale is arguably winner of Wilder v Fury do will take a low risk fight so I would eliminate him, that's Hunter or Ruiz Jr left so let's wait and see. It's interesting to see how people guess tbh.

If Ortiz won't work let him go straight to fighting Breazeale

Ruiz Jr just signed on with PBC, and has mentioned on Instagram that he has a fight lined up in April (no news other than that)

And while Hunter is good, he’s a former CW who’s only loss was against Usyk. Not really stepping up at HW.
