they went from attack to counter. how many times have i heard buboy says during training that they are looking to counter lol. pac's a change man.

exactly!! so how you gonna say he's done if he loses to one of the top guys right now? that's kind unfair dont you think? if he loses to b level or weaker comp then i completely see where you are coming from. i know he's not prime, he has decline a lot. but i still think he can still compete with the top guys at 147.

I'm saying he's been done as an elite fighter for some time and I don't see him beating the likes of Spence and Crawford. Why were Koncz and Roach so against a Crawford fight two years ago? They know too. They are manipulating the easier fights for the bigger bucks. For christs sake they were begging Marquez, with a bum knee, in his mid 40's, inactive for 4 years to fight. That says where they are at.

He won't be fighting Spence and it's a good idea. He's been trading leather professionally for nearly a quarter century. It gets riskier and riskier at this stage and they know that and I understand that.

This is something I don't understand. People have been really selling Pac short over and over again, to the point that people think that he would be consistently beat down by the "top" WW. It's not like as if he's been systematically taken apart or KO'd by B-level opponents. He's still fighting at a high level and happens to have good longevity. Even when his speed and power have faded he still gives younger fighters a tough fight.

I think it started after the Horn "loss" which a good majority of people still had Pac winning. I just don't understand where people are getting this idea that Pac would just be easily obliterate by anyone.

mofos forgot who came was... at one point it was like this.. mofos doubting pac, then pac proved them wrong and from there on out every time pac has an upcoming fight it was "pac's gonna destroyed him" and then now they are going back to their old ways.

That's my point and I get it. His elite days are over and he's been matched carefully and he's making money. He'd be a lamb to the slaughter with Spence and Crawford. Those fights won't happen and I ain't mad. I don't need to see another injury.

spence has zero head movement. manny will tag him up and have him confused with no stationary target to hit. dont act surprised.

I think the main reason Mikey is fighting Spence is because of the lack of head movement and his come forward style. That being said I still think Spence is going to beat Mikey and would beat manny.

He doesnt have the legs as he used to pre-marquez KO. Some of it was back in the Rios fight. But after that fight. He was pretty much moving with little to no lateral movement. Just compare how Pac's legs look with the Floyd fight and Marquez fight. Very different. It's like Marquez took away his legs to heaven.

I dont f uckin know. Maybe it's just the styles? Pac's style look the same when he fought Floyd/Broner but was different in the Bradley/Vargas/Horn fights.

Pac was very bouncy back then. Light in his feet.

Pac's laterals disappeared in the Broner/Floyd fight. Maybe it's because of their defense? How does it work?

Or maybe because he still suffers from cramps?

i agreed! and i see that too. in my opinion i think it's because he's getting older now so his balance is not what it used to be so he doesnt wanna be hopping around light on his feet just in case he gets caught with a counter and get a flash knockdown.

for example, the 3rd bradley fight where pac attacked bradley but got off balance then bradley landed on pac and made manny jumped back. if bradley was a heavier puncher i think manny would have went down since he was off balance. this is why i think he's more flat footed, plus add in age too.

but what i notice in the broner and floyd fight is that manny didnt throw his signature straight left at all! the straight left that he's known for, the lean to the side then fire down the line. he didnt throw this at all and against floyd he didnt either. in the lucas fight he landed a few of his straight left. i dont know if its the defensive style or moving around that made manny not throw that punch at all.

Spence beat Algieri doe.

Even at 40, Manny would be the toughest opponent Spence would face.

Spence is sharp, has decent power and can work inside well but defensively he is flawed.

Beating Brook and Peterson does not mean you steam roll a guy with Manny's pedigree.

People are underrating Pac's counter punching ability at this point. Those faints are his bread and butter now, he is lunging on purpose so his opponents will engage.

Spence is tailor made for Pacquiao's current style.

I personally don't think Pac at this stage can hold off Bud (5 years ago i would laugh at this match up now, hell no) for Spence fighting Pac is all wrong for him.

I have no problem with fans thinking either Pac could lose to - or beat Spence, Crawford, or Thurman - but the problem is Pac doesnt believe in himself enough to fight them! Pac can fight ANYONE and I mean ANYONE he wants to and ANYONE would jump at that huge payday with a superstar - but PAC won't and it is obvious why he wont. He could get ANY of those guys! But wont. Okay, so he wants to make lower risk money....fine...I dont like that but whatever. But this crappy-a$$ retirement tour has gotten old. How about him taking one last big fight and roll the dice! Since he doesn't think he can beat any of them, then I don't either. Pac needs to SHT or get off the pot. Soar with the eagles and win, or lose and walk off into the sunset.
