Be careful what you wish for Pac stans. Spence would have Pacquiao looking like Adonis Stevenson did after he fought Gvozdyk.
Mark my Words: Pacquiao beats Spence

Nahhh not really. Pac is nowhere near like Adonis Stevenson. And Spence would certainly not be able to do that kind of damage even against an old legend. C'mon now.Last edited by Flo_Raiden; 01-24-2019, 03:07 PM.Comment

I think he could. Pac is 40 years old like Stevenson and Spence isn't a one punch ko guy, he would beat Pac down consistently over the course of many rounds which is worse from a brain health standpoint. Nothing Pac did against bum Broner who threw no punches tells me he could handle Spence.Comment

He can beat him, I do think Pacquiao speed would give him problems especially early in the fight BUT I do think Spence Jr can get Pacquiao to the body and slow him down. Body work with make you look your age real fast especially for a older fighter. If I'm Pacquiao team that most certainly wouldn't be first choice at this age, would rather face Mikey Garcia who is more closer to his size.
But yeah I think Pacquiao could still give Spence Jr and the rest of the Current Weltweights major problems because none of them have fought anybody as good as Pacquiao even at 40Comment

Good one. Yeah, what this only proves is that Spence has not been with an elite fighter. Brook had a bad eye from the GGG fight and yet he was able to trade with Spence landing great shots. What more if it's Pacquiao with speed, angles and ring savy.. this is at least a 50/50 fight for both Pac and Spence. Not to mention both men flattened Algieri.
That said, the Mikey vs Spence fight will tell how good Spence is..
What is the common denominator between Mikey, Porter and Pacquiao?
They all fought Broner.
Who among the 3 fighters Broner was scared to let his hands go in fear if getting beat up?
Pacquiao. Broner wasn't scared of Porter or Mikey's punch and he traded with them, while Pac was too strong that he rather just cower and try to survive 12 rounds. That's the difference.
So if Spence loses to Mikey. It means Pac can handle Mikey and that Spence is not the beast that he was meant to be hyped about. And obviously Pac handle Mikey since Mikey exchanged with Broner and not Pacquiao
And If Mikey loses to Spence in a close battle. It also shows, Spence is not the beast that the boxing fans are making him to be and will make for a competitive fight with Pac in a 50/50 fight.
IF Spence wins in a dominating Fashion against Mikey. Then I say Spence is a scary mofo that Pac should stay away from him.
The Spence and Mikey fight will tell a lot on how good spence really is. Spence easily got tagged by Brook which is a slower man than Pacquiao. If Brook can hit Spence, for sure Pac can hit him even better.
And that is why Pacquiao is still in the conversation. It shows what he still got.Comment

If that's the case why couldn't Kovalev put Hopkins in a stretcher even after pummeling him for 12 rounds? And do you really believe that Spence would easily and consistently give Pac a beating? Pac's ring IQ, defense, and movement would not let Spence give him that kind of punishment. You're really underselling Pacquiao's ability.I think he could. Pac is 40 years old like Stevenson and Spence isn't a one punch ko guy, he would beat Pac down consistently over the course of many rounds which is worse from a brain health standpoint. Nothing Pac did against bum Broner who threw no punches tells me he could handle Spence.Last edited by Flo_Raiden; 01-24-2019, 03:17 PM.Comment

Hopkins is an anomaly. He's an exceptional defensive fighter, who didn't take a lot of risks. I just think Pacquiao would be biting off way more than he could chew with a Spence fight.Comment

Pac is also another anomaly as well. That's one of the reasons why he's an ATG.
Again, Spence would not be able to dish out consistent punishment to a guy with the experience of Pacquiao. Pacquiao's ring IQ, movements, and defense won't allow Spence to give a huge beating. Pac has always been competitive with everyone he's faced and he's just that good even at this stage of his career.Last edited by Flo_Raiden; 01-24-2019, 03:24 PM.Comment

No, but Mikey is likely done as a welterweight. Pacquaio is 40 and far removed from his best days. He's still better than the majority of the world but he'd lose to the elite welterweights that are in their prime. Only nuthhuggers would disagree. I've personally felt Pacquaio has been an utter shell of his former self since that KO and he's navigated his career well since. I give him credit for sticking around and making money but don't and won't give anyone much credit who's beaten him since then. That KO was brutal and he's slowed noticeably.Comment
