Lol and wilder vs fury had a way bigger promotional budget for their fight. pac vs broner was virtually word of mouth and the internet.

Honestly isn’t this the highest Ppv pac had in years?

Better than Canelo/Smith and around the same number as Canelo/Khan.

            Interesting

Lol, some were saying 250-275k which would have been a disaster.
u must have copied me. I said in a few threads 350-400k.

It’s still a loser for pbc. Mostly because of Manny’s high guarantee

Well yeah, in that fight you had a guy making his PPV debut and another guy who was a foreigner and was M.I.A for two plus years.

I was just joking with you, but I've been saying this for a while. Set the over/under at 350k. Still will be surprised if it does over 400k buys though. Think it will set just at 400k or close to it.

Espinoza is a realist, I doubt he thought this fight would do crazy numbers or anything. With Pac's purses of course you have to prepare to use some of your budget money on the fight.

At some 375K plus the gate, the fight probably grossed the promoter some $40M.
Pac getting $10M guarantee and Broner some $2M, PBC did a'ight.

Pac- Mikey Garcia would probably do 600K. Even if Mikey loses to Spence.

20 mil guaranteed to Pac was the main culperate and throw in 4 mil to Broner and a little over a million to Jack and it was going to be hard to make this profitable.

That being said the end game was always to recoup the $ loss with May-Pac 2
400k PPV buys, at $75, is $30m in gross revenue, ~$15m into the pot for the event organizers. The tickets for MGM Grand were priced aggressively yet they still ended up with 13k+ in the building; $7m wouldn't be a wild result for the gate (for perspective, Floyd-Guerrero drew just under $10m on 14000+ tickets). And PBC has the new deal with ITV for however much money.

Add the Filipino sponsor on center ring, and every other stream, where are the losses coming from, especially with the quick look having things tracked for over 400k homes before the first week estimates are even in?
