Comments Thread For: Arum: Joshua Damaged His Credibility, Fury Viewed as #1 in U.S.

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum believes IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua needs to "desperately" fight in the United States in order to raise his profile. According to Arum, Joshua's fights against "no-hopers" in the UK have "damaged his credibility". He believes last month's sensational fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury has overshadowed Joshua's momentum in the sport.

Wilder figured out the puzzle late... but he still put Fury on his back twice... Wilder did not go down twice, nor was he hurt.. Wilder won! And is top dog.. Fury didn't do enough to take the WBC strap away from Wilder. Showtime commentary brainwashed you bums into thinking Fury was kicking azz.. he was trying to survive and should have been penalized for constantly holding like a hoe. Lol. Arum is a racists bum.. still looking for a great white hype.. smh. I love all fighters regardless of color.. but damn, its so obvious why some hate Wilder! When we start rd 13.. Fury 2, will be asleep like bermaine stiverne 2. Wilder has figured u out.. its over Fury.

Well I mean yeah I guess in a way arum is right but joshua is popular enough in the UK where he still makes $20 million fighting nobodys, but its completley up to joshua does he want his career to look like Joe calzaghe or Lennox Lewis.

Arum's definition of no hopers is a bit different to mine.

Though I agree that he needs US exposure. Not because the UK
boxing scene isn't great, but because the US primetime PPV makes huge money and starts to make these fights economically unavoidable.

So if he doesn't get the fighters in position 2, 3, or 4... then go and fight Big Baby at MSG. Put on a show.

Mind you, people talk about that like it isn't exactly what Joshua and Hearn have been saying.

King Wilder, Arum, Warren, Ray Leonard, Lennox, Baby Back Miller, Rogan, Fury, Khan etc., all know this guy is on a "no hopers" tour to please his zombie clan on the island....Hopefully when he does bring those manufactured muscles up here for Pudgy Miller - Miller INSISTS on stringent DRUG TESTING - with no cut off date! Right now Wilder & Fury got better things to do, like being BRAVE....Team-Panty Hearn wouldve preferred the 'Bum MONEY Tour' 'admittedly' without conveniently facing Wilder (for "TEN YEARS") OR Fury for that matter,...Now Anphony & Fast Eddie has to jump through hoops that Miller doesnt have worry about not fittin' thru....they NEED him now!! Whyte might as well fight Ortiz and prove what he can do against some of that southpaw artistry !!

                  Fck this popularity contest bullshitl

None of it means anything when 2 fighters get in the ring together. That's when we find out who is No1.

I'm sick of all this talk. Just get Joshua in there with the winner of Wilder vs Fury II and be done with it.
