I got most of that from an article written by a disgruntled judge. So if it's accurate and I suspect it is, there are a lot of ways to manipulate the system. If I can find a link I will post it and people can make up their own minds but it looks shady to me.Comment

true, I mean pac got put to sleep and came back to take part in the biggest grossing fight in boxing history. So a loss isn't the end all. Too many people jumped in the Floyd train by thinking a fighter has to have an 0. The other person that responded to you made valid sense though about promotors being the ones who pay the tabs for judges who work fights, so without being paid off, they can be influenced based in the perks of working a big fight. I didn't think of it like that but I'd have to imagine that it's much more beneficial for a judge who gets assigned to a Canelo fight than one who gets assigned to a Curtis Steven's fight or something like that.I guess you make valid points and I can't dispute anything you say.
Let's hope the Canelo-Jacobs fight doesn't end in controversy.
I want a clear winner, even if it's Jacobs.
A loss to Jacob's isn't gonna end Canelo's career and vice versa.
Too many people think a loss is the end to a Fighter's career but that's far from the truth!
Canelo's loss to Mayweather didn't effect his career and neither will a loss to Jacob's.Comment

Alright cool. Yes it's shady and if that's how it's done then things need to change!
Cause if Oscar is paying for the judges services then all he has to do is keep spoiling this Judges with first class services and of course the judges would wanna be in Oscar's good side so they'll side with Oscar's fighter so that they'll get picked again next fight.
Things definitely need to change if that's the process!Comment

I don't know man. I'd say I'm a hardcore fan but I don't really give a shit about this fight. Jacobs reminds me how weak boxing in general is. It's pathetic.Comment

Mayweather has alot of fans thinking you need to be undefeated in order to be considered great and that's not true at all!
But Yes that other guy makes great arguments. If that's how the process works then I can see why Judges would want Canelo to win...
I'm a boxing fan first and foremost and I want a judge to score the fight for the fighter they feel actually won the fight, not by which fighter benefits them the most thru certain perks and rewards.
I just want a great honest fight between Canelo and Jacobs and let the best man win!Comment

In my mind Jacobs is the best man maybe not the best boxer or maybe both. This should be a good fight.I'll definitely agree with you on that!
