Crawford/Khan doesn't happen if Khan and Eddie wanted on DAZN. Loma/Linares almost didn't happen over a date, Oscar and HBO offered way more money to have it on HBO, Arum said no and was moving on. Linares pretty much begged GB for the fight as he isn't much of a draw and conceded to Arums terms. The Ramirez's could have entered the WBSS but Arum didn't allow it cause he wouldn't be in control of running the show. Arum is right, other promoters work with him and have no problem sending over lower tier fighters to fight on his shows, they get their fighters paid by Arum. but does Arum think GB and Hearn would send over their top tier fighters to fight on ESPN? I have yet to see any TR fighter with a name fighting on any other network that isn't ESPN, purse bids excluded.

Meanwhile when Arum does it, it's complete mis matches left and right.
        Agreed.

This is 5 years of Manny Pacquaio's career here. Did we really need to see him in with Clottey? Rios? Margarito? NO! But here he says he learned 30 years ago in-house fights don't make sense. Bob, you kill me.

            Great freaking post!

I'm glad someone else sees through Arum's bullshit.

The WBSS is just another of many examples where Top Rank wasn't willing to work with other promoters to make compelling fights.

Arm may not play nice with other promoters but when he has two good fighters in the same division he generally matches them together in good time. He has a point that PBC could be doing more with the stable it has

hearn was out here thinking he knew what haymons guys made and offered them more and they all said "we good" and didn't even budge....als guys are taken care of just as good as Crawford

"were working on Crawford vs collazzo(a haymon guy"

"if I wanna make a fight with spence or Garcia I don't even know who to talk to...is al haymon even a real person? I think hes a ghost"

gee bob...I dunno...how did you get ahold of Collazo?
So you bought into the hype from that WBA WBO IBF poster that PBC fighters are earning much more than advertised? Sorry, but the PBC clan are notorious for bragging and posting everything they have on social media, don't think for one minute that they wouldn't be boasting about all the millions they earned to fight B-level opponents.

Although Mikey has aligned himself with PBC, he claims he writes his own ticket, so how does one get a fight with Mikey? Reaching out to Uncle Al, or Roberto, or Mikey's water bucket carrier?

Fact is, both Danny Garcia and Broner each turned down career high paydays to fight Pac, and Danny turned down a career high payday plus a percentage of PPV to fight Crawford.

And frankly, as a fan, why are you concerned what the fighters make as long as you get to see them fight? It’s not your account the fight purse is being routed to....it’s not in escrow for you.
I'm merely pointing out how some of these PBC fighters are turning down career high paydays from other Promoters, while still earning half as much with Haymon. Outside of some folks here who claim to have inside knowledge that they earn more than advertised, I can't see the logic in turning down anywhere between 2x and 8x your career high pay day.

Bob is absolutely right. Al's mob-like mentality is hurting boxing. There's only one "side of the street", only one "line"-boxing.

How the hell is he hurting boxing? But bobby's control of his fighters is "good" for boxing?

Bobby has ruined crawfish's career just like he was going to do to Floyd. But Floyd got smart and decided to control his own career. Crawfish could have became a superstar like Floyd but he stayed with Arum way too long.

Bob is just frustrated because all the top guys at 147 are not with him and he's froze out. If they were he would be doing nothing but in house fights as well. And this idea that he is working with other promoters and how great it is is full of crap. What he means is I have no problem working with another promoter IF they are sending their top guys to ESPN where I can promote it. But he is not doing the same he is NOT sending any of his top guys to fight on rival networks. It's easy to say let's work together when you are demanding others to come to your network and not the other way around lol
