how do you know they're guilty? many people have been exonerated after the fact. in the vast majority of cases, guilt is never proven. you said "the vast majority are found guilty"...you're wrong. if the state was so convinced someone was guilty of a specific charge, why would they let them plea to something significantly lesser? the american justice system is in shambles my friend...let's not assume that everyone brought up on charges receives due process or that the case against them is even particularly strong.

They let them plea to something lesser to save money, they don't have to pay for a trial that way.how do you know they're guilty? many people have been exonerated after the fact. in the vast majority of cases, guilt is never proven. you said "the vast majority are found guilty"...you're wrong. if the state was so convinced someone was guilty of a specific charge, why would they let them plea to something significantly lesser? the american justice system is in shambles my friend...let's not assume that everyone brought up on charges receives due process or that the case against them is even particularly strong.Comment

Ok I found it. He was arraigned last August. Like I was telling Rexy, Kovalev isn't that well known outside of boxing. Somebody probably called TMZ and told them and they probably didn't know who he was until they googled him.
Sergey Kovalev was charged in Aug. 2018 with assault likely to cause great bodily injury, according to California court records. Kovalev's rematch with Eleider Alvarez for the WBO's light heavyweight belt is scheduled to headline the Feb. 2 card in Frisco.Comment
