That’s part of the reason. Others are, there isn’t adequate access to representation, the evidence isn’t that solid, and to improve conviction rates and prosecution performance. In some states the prosecution doesn’t even have to share it’s evidence with the defence unless the case goes to trial. In which case would a miscarriage of justice be more likely...in that type of situation or a trial?

Anyway, you were implying that just because kovalev was accused and charged, that we should assume there’s solid evidence against him and that he’s probably guilty. You tried to bolster that argument by making an incorrect statement. If he’s guilty, then so be it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s conveniently settled out of court tho.

I stand by what i said. To charge him they will have a good case against him and he's more than likely guilty. Far from people paranoid beliefs they don't want to lock up innocent people or waste money charging someone that has no chance of being found guilty.

In a lot of cases this is true. However, especially for high profile domestic cases, the prosecution will try to make a statement even if there isn't great evidence working in their favor. You're probably not going to be familiar with this case as it involved a NFL player, but look no further to the Reuben Foster case. There was little to no evidence he hit his girlfriend yet they still proceeded with the charges and made a complete and utter fool of themselves in trial. The judge ripped them apart and they ignored the girlfriend lying in the past for something similar and actually being sent to jail.

No clue what kind of evidence they have in this case but just saying there are reasons charges can be pressed despite lack of evidence.

I dont like them personally either. I think they are both jackasses outside the ring but very respectable inside the ring. I just cant recall the Mayweather fans "celebrating" Mayweathers horrible acts as you said. Maybe I didnt read all the comments but I just dont see people on here celebrating a boxer beating on a women even though I see some really ******s comments on here from time to time I never saw that.
