More objective discussion on this much-discussed match-up is needed. Sadly, it's once again dragged down by people who only know how to throw insults around, not genuine DEBATE. A shame.

You are completely delusional or insane if you think this was an adult attempt at a conversation or debate. This guy is a hater and a bad one at that. A thinly veiled hating attempt by making it sound reasonable at first then devolving into insanity (ie Hatton is stronger than Hearns).

also did you just say hatton would fight floyd at the drop of a hat? rofl... that's why as soon as mayweather put hatton on his list of people he wants to fight... hatton immediately said that he wasn't looking to fight floyd in 2006, and decides to make a title defense against URKAL.

        owned.
Only three-year-olds say stuff like "owned". This is a BOXING discussion site, not Ebaumsworld.

It's nice to see the name-calling when I try to bring some objective discussion into this debate. I still stand by what I have said about Hatton. Maybe not the strongest welterweight I have seen, but the strongest 140 lber I have ever seen . I could bring some facts and figures on what the man squats but I won't waste time and energy trying to change your opinion. It's my opinion and I stand by it.

Like I said, this thread was created for the intent not to "hate" (I'm not in grade school anymore), but to add a fact into the equation that usually isn't talked about.

Guess what? I KNOW how good Floyd Mayweather is. Everyone keeps raving about his skills...I know they are good. But if History has shown us anything, it's shown us that pressure can win you fights.

I'm not sure if you understand the difference between "punching power" and "strength". Hatton would of been able to outmuscle Hearns on the inside. Hatton is like a mini-tyson.. he's one of the strongest guys for his size I've ever seen. He would muscle Hearns if he could get inside, which he wouldn't. But that's beside the point.

It's also funny that I never even mentioned Hatton being stronger then Hearns, yet everyone puts it in my mouth. Just shut the **** up for a second and read the thread for a 2nd time. Maybe then you'll grasp the concept that I'm not "hating", rather I'm bringing a concept that hasn't really been discussed before.

You said Hatton was the strongest ever at 147, therefore claiming that he was stronger then hearns.
