Is Mayweathwer a god, no. The most skilled fighter in the game at the moment, yes. If Hatton ever gets his fill of "tune ups" and actually accepts the offer to fight PBF the next time it presents itself, Hatton's going to get a hell of a boxing lesson. Hopefully his scrotum will be forcefully dislodged from your mouth in the process.

People also forget that COllazo is much, much bigger then Floyd. If you would compare the two it would be a landslide. Mayweather is a wimp compared to Luis.
Collazo isnt very strong, and is one inch taller than Floyd and they have identical reach.
Floyd has had two fights at 147 and is fine and comfortable there now.
They are similar in size and power.

Collazo IS stronger then Floyd...Collazo could make 154 easily and he has to drain himself to 147, Mayweather has to put on 8 pounds to make 154.

Floyd has had two fights at 147 yes, but they were against 140 lbers (and Judah is a 140 lber for the most part).

As for that Hearns comment...punching power and strength is a different thing.

I can't believe I'm going to post in this thread.

But, Collazo is a natural Welter, who's fought at jr middle, and Hatton has stated that it was Collazo's strength, not his power, that gave him trouble in the fight (plus his southpaw style, obviously).

As for Floyd's two fights at Welter, weren't they both against natural Jr Welters?

Weight drained or not, with the exception of Gonzales the only guys he's stoppped were bums and journeymen.

You think Hatton is physically stronger than Hearns who was a gigantic Welter, not to mention an ATG?

Threads like these are pretty pointless because you're not going to change people's opinions.

For me, if Hatton can handle Floyd's punches, cut the ring off and get inside, he wins. If Floyd can stay outside and pick Hatton off, Floyd wins.

They have the styles to beat each other, the only way we find out who wins is if they actually fight.

I was talking in terms of punching power, becasue your right, they are two different things.
The fact that hes had two fights shows that he is comfortable at the weight and wont be dwarfed at 147 by anybody.
