Bob Arum's greatest mistake was not giving Pacquiao 20 million to fight Crawford in passing of the torch. Losing money in order to gain more--a tactical investment. Now, Manny is in uncle Al's stable which will make sure he will get paid and whomever beats him will see their stock supercharged and so is Al's bank account.
The only slim chance Bob will ever get is if Manny by some form of miracle beats all of these young champions from Al's stable, this will net him another fighter of the decade award and becomes undisputed pound for pound number for one last time, then decides to crossover and fight Crawford for his farewell fight, but this time would probably ask for more than 20 million.
But folks that's just fairy tale. a 40++ years old war-torn fighter won't ever beat all these young on their absolute prime champions that's just dungeons and dragons fantasy type story--don't keep your hopes up.Comment

With all the ESPN plus dates Bob has to fill I'd think it was a no brainer for him to carry some of Pac's cards.Comment

You forgot to mention that Spence has to fight a light weight because he can't get PBC title shot and at 160 PBC is dead in the water.
Unfortunate but also true.
Why is this surprising again? Of course Pacquiao left Arum for the money and the largest stable of viable opponents.
Al Haymon and PBC are now the premiere brand in boxing like it or not. The only people who refuse to accept this are the biased boxing writers and a few delusional race hating fans.
As Media heir apparent and darling Hearn struggles with creating interesting matchups, PBC is bringing us the BEST fights.
Time to put media momentum where it should be. If Arum wasn’t such an emotional old dude he would be strategic and start partnering with Al because he represents the only life line for Top Rank.
Good day gents, hope you can digest this truth!!!Last edited by factsarenice; 01-13-2019, 03:12 AM.Comment

He's fighting Broner and one more fight, that's the plan. Potentially a farewell Floyd rematch.

Brook was a mandatory, it had nothing to do with Al's match making prowess. Thurman, Porter and Danny intend to only fight one another and scrubs for the next few years..and if Spence or fans don't like it too bad.

"Pacquiao later decided to join one of Arum’s rivals, Al Haymon, by signing a contract to fight exclusively under the banner of Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions. Technically, Pacquiao still promotes himself."
So many fighters with Al Haymon seem to have their own promotions! I guess that's why so many fighters like Haymon, because he guides their business interests, and not just their fights!
It's why all the PBC guys have been laughing when Eddie offers them "double their filed purses"Comment
