Ortiz ain't fought nobody yet you all hype up Hughie Fury, Carlos Takam, want me to go on? Joe Joyce.

He's old again you'll still talk up a 42yr old Wlad, Takam who must be approaching 40, Lucas Browne.

This is why boxing is in a state its the fans. They give these fighters these excuses not to take risks.

Nobody wants to see AJ vs Miller or and most likely followed by Whyte 2. Ortiz once again he's fought nobody, Joelle Miller has though.

Its the fans that run boxing these days, that is the problem.

Yet we hear how if you say dudes name 3 times in a dark room and spin in a circle with your eyes closed he magically appears and ko's you with a left hook.

It wouldn't be AS bad if he was a 25 year old kid with his resume getting hyped but he's a 40 year old man.
Dude, your a Aj fan so you are making a thread to try to shet on King Kong. This isn't hard to figure out. If your so worried about King Kong being overrated then why won't Aj fight him? NO EXCUSES.

Good but very overrated? Makes no sense. Its more like Aj fans underrate King Kong. Why won't Aj fight him??

So then WHY do they fight fighters that bring LESSER to the table?

It's not enough to call out fighters, they have their own management and they will also evaluate the risk/financial rewards and other stuffs like that.

At the end of the day, no matter how technically good you are, you will be rated by the quality of opponents you faced not fight you tried to make that didn't work. Ortiz doesn't have much time, his management needs to act fast.
He has..so now what is the next excuse?

All things considering, and looking at the division as a whole, he is a legit fighter, top 5 in the division, and could probably take out all of them on a perfect night.

He's big, strong, with a great skill set.

His problem is that he is too old and too heavy.

They should let him juice to take some of that weight off and he'll be smashing fools like the real King Kong.

The man needs to drop maybe 10lb, 6'4" 230 he'd be good.

But the man is just plain old, he must be 44-45 at least.

If he had managed to get the Wilder win, we would be throwing his name around with so much more weight but he then would have been beaten by Fury and Joshua.
Wilder hyped him so much but purely out of self interest. Wilder; 'My resume is so bad, I'll just say that Ortiz is the second best HW in the world enough and hope people swallow it'.
If he put Kauffman away early, as his 'hype' suggests he should have, we'd be talking more about a PPV fight against someone that can either retire him or put him up for one last world title shot.
I don't really want to see Whyte v Joshua again. I'd like to see Ortiz v Whyte though, that would be a good 'final eliminator' to take on either Wilder or Joshua.
IMO, that's where he is currently, teetering on the edge between retirement and big money.
I don't know about Fury & Aj beating King Kong so I would like to see it. I don't want King Kong vs whyte, I want King Kong/Aj. Why cant we ask for THAT fight??

He's had one big fight. And probably should have won it. But that was also against a guy who hasn't yet earned his standing in the sport.

I think it's about time he got a decent fight, but then you would think he's probably the odd one of the Joshua, Fury, Whyte, Wilder, Ortiz five. You would think the next fighters to be made have to come from the first 4.

Maybe Povetkin, Miller or someone like Joyce?

At 40 though, who needs to risk fighting him to further their career?
Damn, they scared of a 40 year old....LMMFAO!
