What!! Isn’t Whyte already eligible for a title shot? Where is the harm fighting Chisora and earning a few million. It’s not a mammoth task and if he didn’t beat Chisora then maybe he doesn’t derserve a title shot.

I wanted to come back to this post and reflect on the current position. I am happy that Dillian is considering a new promotor I think it is certainly the best career move as under matchroom the #1 is Joshua and what Aj wants Aj gets.

It’s pretty clear that the only loyalty in this business from Eddies perspective is to the money not building relationships. Aj is the cash cow and king for matchroom and Eddie Hearn is his obsequious servant a sycophant who should have been subjected to a level of corporal punishment when he demonstrated insolence growing up because now he would have at a minimum some basic manners.

It shouldn’t come as a suprise then that when push comes to shove Eddie would always choose Aj interests or desires well above doing right by Whyte and that is becoming increasingly clear particularly with his visit to the WBO HQ.

It’s becoming evident that Aj may or may not favour a match with Dillian Whyte and perhaps would offer him a bout as a courtesy voluntary defence rather than a forced mandatory.

Barry Hearn is the driving force behind Eddie Hearns visit to WBO HQ. The objective was to determine when and with whom will the mandatory defence of the WBO for Aj get called and whether that can be influenced by Matchroom. A social visit that could only have come about from Barry’s instructions, who himself comes from an era where there was an emphasis on personal relationships. Eddie is from email and phone generation it could never occur to him the value of a face to face - Queue Eddie on a plane to see Shelly Finkel ... As I ruffle these feathers the outcome of a lavish lunch and exchange of gifts I think was simple that Usyk could potentially replace Whyte as a mandatory if he moves up in weight based on WBO rules...it’s possible

In another twist to this case the close relationship with Klitschko and matchroom is another card that Hearn can try to use to remove Whyte from the equation altogether. Try and get Klitschko vs Whyte and the winner comes to AJ.

The point is for Dillian he is not going to get an favours from matchroom and the roadblocks are being put into place. Dillian has to choose between Aj now for chump change or continue his PPV status with other opposition. I’m sure he will be considering the fact that a loss to AJ now will mean he slides back down the snake on this boxing board of snakes and ladders.

Tell me a temp that has more rights than a permanent employee in the workforce? That’s normal practice , then coupled with the fact that his Full time under contract client is his cash cow that’s perfectly normal.

I’m yet to meet or hear about a squeaky clean promoter. I think if you use Don King as a yardstick for promoters ,Eddie is doing a swell job. I agree with some of your points but as you will soon witness Whyte is very happy with Hearn. One always earns with Hearn

I would like to quote Lennox Lewis “Outside of the ring, there are no gloves. We don’t put pillows on to soften the blow. Eddie needs to put his big boy pants on and understand that criticism and scrutiny are a part of the game.”

There is one thing criticising a fighters ambition but to point blank say a fighter is scared especially when you personally know the fighter it appears more personal . However having said that Lewis had a stellar career and fought all comers so he is well in his right to say what he says I suppose.

Yeah there is definitely something in the mist in regards to Klitschko. All will be revealed in due time I imagine.
