He was also Lineal champion in 2005. Zab was just ****** wasted talent but levels ahead of alot of current fighters.

Any one of those top Welters would have loved to get Khan in the ring.

How could any boxing fan condemn Amir Khan for taking on risks inside of the ring against some the better fighters in the world pound 4 pound? Overall, it's good for boxing. Even though his best years are now behind him.

Literally no other name welterweights are available and even if they were, would the fights happen? It's debatable whether Top Rank and PBC are willing to work together anytime soon for Bud v Spence, Porter, Garcia, etc.

I really don't care about the business side of things, because that comes down to pride and greed and things of that nature. All I know is, fighters used to fight the guys they were supposed to much faster than this. Sure, a Leonard-Hagler or a Jones-Calzaghe happens once a generation, but now every fighter with a belt seems to think they're Mayweather or something.

You have guys demanding soft touches in between hard fights, when they barely have resumes. I'm happy that fighters last longer, and make more money, but it makes for ****ty entertainment, and more often than not guys end up over the hill. Crawford is Top Rank, so don't go for the more intriguing fight in Brook because it's harder to make a deal? That's it? That's BS if you ask me, and just a free pass for fighters to duck each other. There are high profile fights in several divisions not happening because of that excuse. I think I'm turning into that grumpy old guy.

Well, first of all, GGG already fought and beat Jacobs, so I can't say he's "ducking" Jacobs. He's also 36, so I can understand that he wants only big money fights, i.e. Canelo, so I understand why he doesn't want Charlo. Problem for GGG is, "where is a big money fight, without Canelo?" I would say Zurdo or Smith @ 168, but that's just me!

Canelo's resume already shows me that he doesn't duck anyone! He might not fight who you want, when you want, but he's fought them all! Same as Floyd did!

Lastly, although I'm no fan, Khan should be applauded! Look at his resume compared to Kell Brook! Why should Khan let Brook make a ton of money of his name? If I were at the end of my game, I would rather face Crawford for a title too!

Notice how you said "recently." If we're gonna go off "recently," neither one has done anything to brag about! If were look past "recently," Khan has a better resume! it's not even close! Barerra, Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, Diaz, Alexander, Collazo, Algieri, and I should throw in Peterson (since he tested positive for PEDs)! I'm not a Khan fan, but he's done way more than Brook! Brook got the win over Porter BY MD, and then what?
