  • Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Facing Crawford: To Be Applauded or Condemned?

By Tris Dixon - SOCIAL media has been sent into frenzy over the news that Amir Khan will likely face Terence Crawford in the USA on April 20. It seemed it was a now or never' moment, for Khan to take on domestic rival Kell Brook but he has chanced his arm and gambled that the Sheffield man still might be a viable option, regardless of what might happen against the brilliant Bud' and that is also with the assumption that Matchroom Boxing, Brook's long-term promoters, will want to work with Amir again given that Crawford will mark the end of his three-fight arrangement with them...

What nonsense,Kahn hasn't earned a gwddamned thing,he's literally the Kim kardashian of boxing, does nothing but go on twitter & instagram to hit on ******** then call gay the man he's scared to face in Brook. & he has done absolutely nothing since becoming battered launched by cinnamon. He's as easy a glass jaw cherrypick as they come at this point,Crawford/Arum should be ashamed of facing this glass jaw while calling yourself p4p,how much more not serious can they be about proving themselves.

How the hell is he even 3rd in the WBO rankings he hasn't fought anyone worth a damn at WW since 2014

Im not going to applaud a guy who gets bigs fights because he no chin when there are 7 fighters in the WBO top ten who are undefeated and up and coming who deserve a shot not this clown who is used by other fighters to add to their ko highlights video

Either way he is fighting for a world title. He is the British Zab Judah.

Neither to be applauded or condemned if you ask me. I think it's fairly obvious that Khan is going to lose to Crawford but at this point I'm no longer upset that he's not fighting Brook. At this point I care more about this matchup from Crawford's point of view than Khan's, and this is at least a better fight than him fighting Luis Collazo as was mooted previously.

Khan has a big and wide reaching following online and boxing is a game of numbers. He's also a low risk, high reward situation and boxing sanctioning bodies wont hesitant I mysteriously addong him in the top 10 where they can make a sizable sanction fee off his name.

You know what's weird is i was listening to radio 5 the other day and even steve bunce wasn't trying to make a case for Khan in this fight whatsoever

Even for canelo there were a few people saying he had a slim chance, but now he is well and truly an "opponent"

If Khan's chin is as strong as his heart he'd be great. He has been fighting the best available opposition.
