I wouldn't fight Usyk either if I was Whyte.

Thats a horrible matchup for him & I'd probably see it as a 70/30 fight Usyk's way with the major doubt on Uysk being the question mark of how he handles the extra weight & the HW power.

Del Boy is a high level basic guy or a low level dynamo, you pick, & he shoulda gotten the nod in their first fight & he was neck & neck with Whyte again til Whyte KO'd him. Whyte ain't outboxing a guy like Usyk in his dreams so it all lands on him catching Usyk & Usyk is gonna look all the more elusive vs these stiff ass slow moving HWs just wait & see.

Seems about right to me. I reckon folks forget, most people don't even know boxing has a CW division.

Nobody in the US knows Whyte - nobody.

Tyson Fury is probably the most popular HW with AJ and Wilder a distant 2nd and 3rd tbh. Nobody in the US likes Wilder - hes just not very good and plays a tired role.

The way you separate yourself from competition is by beating those other guys...the Usyks, Hayes, Bellews, etc.

Why Whyte is fighting like Errol Spence, Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, both Charlo bros, and every other Haymon fighter...I'll never know.

Well heard the same about how David Haye (who was actually faster and slicker than usyk) was going to make these big slow lumbering heavyweights look like they were moving in slow motion.

          It didn't really happen.

Usyk isn't a speedster, Tony Bellew who wasn't even quick at 175 was landing in him easily.

I'm just saying don't expect Usyk to be some speedball at heavyweight

Pretty much, Usyk can't even be promoted as a HW champion so his marketability rests on people giving a shyt about him beating Bellew and being a unified CW champion (a division most casual don't even know exists).

Why the hecc would any Brits face him over another Brit for a big domestic payday?

Doesn't have a built in fan base

Won't be able to fight an exciting style at heavyweight

Usyk can go down as an ATG but he's not going to become a superstar
Your points are valid but sometimes you only need one special asset to make it big.

Golovkin, a Kazakh who can't speak a lick of English without a natural fanbase fighting in the US. His knockout streak made him a superstar.

Wlad Klitschko, a Ukrainian fighting mostly in Germany and considered a boring fighter overall. His longevity as the heavyweight king made him a superstar.

I know there are levels in superstardom and these two are no Tyson or Floyd but casual fight fans around the world or even just sports enthusiasts in general know who they are.

The odds are against him but Usyk can become a big name by winning heavyweight titles and beating a Joshua or a Wilder. He's a special fighter and he's entertaining and charismatic.

In recent times, Browne, Del Boy and even Parker who have never been KD got a taste.

Wilder is going down once fit flush. There is no argument about that.

I can't wait for uysk first HW bout, let's see all these freaky analysis and over hype of uysk in HW.
It's getting boring how a non tested CW is suddenly going to take over the HW division.
                      Hope it happens soon.

                      Uysk is no evander.
