He’s stating the obvious really. Those on here like usyk and Ortiz but honestly talk to casuals and you find it very different. Bellew became more known only because he was fighting Haye and some fans know usyk because he then fought him; but not everyone transferred across to see Bellew vs usyk.

That doesn’t mean these fights won’t or can’t happen but realistically it isn’t going to be as commercially big as other fights

Like, seriously. Usyk is a more successful amateur, SIGNIFICANTLY more successful pro, bigger name, prestige, p4p fighter. Not a huge name but he’s definitely something of a name in the sport.

When you speak of Usyk the conversation involves talks of excellence and aspirations of greatness.

Whyte? Just a contender and known for his loss against a man who’s actually reached the peak...and thats by the few people who do know him.

I like Whyte but this isnt a good look. If he’s not getting one of the big 3, Usyk should be a fight he should be welcoming. Maybe he doesnt like his chances and itd ruin a bigger pay day from AJ or Wilder (lol)?
