Its news like this that makes me think Hearn doesn't have as much DAZN money as has been suggested. I mean just to get them on DAZN I think its worth overbidding.

Or if Hearn legit has THAT much DAZN money his budget for 2019 is gonna be 70% higher cuz this years money just rolled over cuz his pinching pennies & not spending sh^t.

If Hearn can't improve his stable, why pay BOTH GBP and Matchroom USA so much money when it is only needed for one of them? Or why pay Hearn $100+ million when there would be better use for GBP to get that type of budget?

And Hearn wasn't needed one bit to sell DAZN on Canelo. Are you kidding me? That's the biggest American star....Who John Skipper was already working with his promoter on ESPN before he resigned and eventually got aboard on DAZN.

DAZN isn't just going to be pouring out hundreds of millions of dollars on boxing when they feel like it isn't worth it. Will that eventually happen? Certainly possible.

And let’s be honest Canelo saved Dazn momentarily
I'm satisfied, in my own mind, that Hearn helped bring Canelo to DAZN. If you don't agree and think he was lying about that, then so be it.

I'm not interested in arguing about it again.

U notice how he said Fox is ALMOST as good as fighting on ESPN? These athletes know what’s up.
I caught that too! However, FOX and FS1 are pushing ESPN hard!

Problem is no one is interested in Hearns shows, they have all been crap and most people would rather just subscribe only when Canelo fights. I curious to see how many new subscribers actually are going to continue with DAZN after their free trial for the Canelo fight.

Exactly! Nobody else believed in him but now people want to come and pouch him away because he is World Champion

One thing that was never clear was if the marketing money was coming out of the boxing budget? He said in one interview that they plan on spending like $50 million in marketing, well does that mean then he only has $75 million for his cards? And I mean even if that is the case, that is A LOT of money.

I don't think the money was overstated, maybe he just didn't understand how much the fighters were getting paid. FFS, he was quoting the released purses and then wondered if it was legal what was going on at the PBC LOL. Hearn said Mikey Garcia makes over $3 million a fight and he offered significantly more money that he still turned down. And we saw the first offer to Broner which was really good, but if he wanted him then he probably should have offered more there as well. No one is leaving for comparable money to an unproven commodity.

What I want to know is just how much he is paying guys like Big Baby Miller for all these mismatches? Like is he getting paid $1.5 million or something? How about Farmer? We know Andrade/BJS were set to make big money for their showdown.

And to be fair even though he lost the purse bid, he put up good amount of money for Hooker/Saucedo.

This is why I said all along why not over pay for Haney or Ennis? Get them on board and make them your future stars in a year or two. You got the money, it would make more sense to over pay for them opposed to Big Baby Miller lol.

I think what he mean is that more people get to see their fights as ESPN and FOX aren't premium channels.

As for canelo being paid as advertisment, don't you think 350 mil is a bit steep for advertisment? He is the biggest draw in boxing which is why they took him in..

And as for not being able to draw pbc fighters to dazn, they're literally BEGGING to fight canelo at this point. No doubt encouraged by Al who knows they're only worth that massive cash if they're fighting a true cash cow.
That lawsuit was 3 years ago (2016) Things must be going in the right direction if the Waddell/Haymon matrimony still exists.

It’s simple mathematics, no way this investment group is still bleeding losses without a impending divorce. Public investment groups have to answer to shareholders, so if PBC’s financial metrics weren’t on the up and up by now, Haymon/Waddell would have already parted ways.

As far as Canelo goes, he has absolutely nobody to fight unless they r ready to feed Jacobs to him this early, which they seem unwilling to do at this juncture. But if that Rocky fight was any indication of what’s to come, then it’s already a disaster !
