He can always go back and try again if DAZN takes off in the US. He had nothing to lose by approaching them straight away.

Yeah I guess, but I just think he had the wrong mindset from day one. For the life of me I just didn't understand why he didn't go after these supreme prospects without a major promoter. He should have tried to lock up guys like Haney/Ennis/etc and then in two years reaped the benefits. Hearn needed to build a stable, not try to just take the easy road and poach from one.

And this isn't just me talking hindsight either, I mentioned this MONTHS ago. Broke down pretty much exactly what was going to happen to Hearn back in June. He got a couple of life lines though. Mainly due to HBO going out of business that opened up GBP for DAZN and guys like GGG became free agents. Canelo was THE guy to move the needle for DAZN if there was going to be someone. I mean sure Canelo isn't with Hearn per se, but he is with DAZN and that is the most important thing....Though I guess in another way, GBP coming to DAZN could spill the end for Hearn's US venture unless his stable improves in a big way.

I can't see that happening. The more subscribers DAZN have who are interested in boxing, the more potential viewers for Hearn's shows. Hearn knows that, which is why he helped sell DAZN to Canelo's people.

I like Hurd, he gets it done. He should leave pbc though, it's a ticking time bomb. Haymon is going to now through the rest of wadell and reeds investment money very soon. Over paying fighters and ridiculous promotions on TV cost money.

What the hell? Harrison past his prime? HE JUST WON THE TITLE TWO WEEKS AGO. Lara was still top notch as he proved in that fight.

Hating on Hurd now is hilarious. And his next fight will likely be against JRock and if he gets past him, will be looking at the winner of Charlo/Harrison II. This is a REAL fighter right here.

Why does it upset people he made those comments? It makes no sense for him to go to DAZN with Hearn since damn near all the top 154 pounders are in his stable. When he moves up to 160? Sure, but why would he sign with Hearn opposed to GBP in that case? I doubt he does either to be honest, but it would make more sense going with GBP who has Munguia and Canelo.

I mentioned this months ago, but Hearn definitely underestimated the type of money these guys are already earning. And at the time GBP wasn't at DAZN so it was going to be a HUGE risk signing to a new streaming service with a promoter from another country. He needed to build the DAZN brand first and show it could be successful before going after the PBC fighters.

hurd should go to DAZN only after fighting his homecoming fight then Charlo Harrison 2 winner.

He comes to DAZN to face Munguía for undisputed then can move to 160 for Canelo Andrade and likely Jacobs and GGG.

U notice how he said Fox is ALMOST as good as fighting on ESPN? These athletes know what’s up.
