If they truly wanted the fight they would say how much they offered the Wilder camp, otherwise they are just trying to get fans on AJ's side by saying Wilder's camp won't respond and thus don't want the fight.
If Joshua is concerned about legacy and truly wants to prove he is undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, the Hearns need to come down off their high horse and make the proper concessions to make the fight happen. After Wilder/Fury, they are all top 3 in the division with little separation between the three top spots. Give Wilder the payday he is asking for and if Joshua wins, he can go back to demanding 60-70% of future fight purses.
Works both ways. You can say if wilder truly wants the fight he would take this offer which is a more reasonable option seeing as it’s more than he’s ever made before.

Seconded. What was his purse? 4M? And the PPV was 30K or so above break-even point.

If reports are true, AJ is offering Wilder 28M. Turning that down would be a clear duck. If the reports are true, of course.

if wilder fights fury, he gets american ppv money, if aj fights wilder, its in england which means no ppv money for wilder

        its simple

AJ & Hearn should have never let wilder get a taste of ppv fury money

        this **** is chess

plus under a new fox deal, im pretty sure wilder has no beef going back to normal purse for a Brazele fight

You guys are not hard to spot.
Joshua vs Wilder is not next and was never going to be. It's Wilder vs Fury II and Joshua vs Whyte II. Winners need to fight each other.

As a Joshua fan he really should just come out and publicly offer Wilder 50/50 for April

Does Wilder deserve it, no, but I think this is one of those where Joshua need to take a pay cut to make it happen and shut people up.

Joshua has had a great career so far and wanted to go against the best asap, but 40 bum Wilder and his ldbc fans are talking so much trash that people are starting to listen.

Time to send this guy back to the alleyway shooting dice

Well I heard he earned 14 mil in total and the flat fee was 15. I don’t think 28 million is possible personally especially without ppv backing unless dazn are willing to put in serious money.

I understand they want the WBC belt but I don’t get the obsession with fighting Wilder, he doesn’t want that fight. He has said so, his teams attitude in the past and present has said so. No point in beating a dead horse. They obviously fooled a lot of uneducated fans and even the ones that thought wanted it are not su****ious about their previous statements. Just let it go, this is the same situation we had with the Kilt brothers, one had the WBC belts and the other the rest, they were never going to fight and unified all the belt, the one face or champion BS would never happen when one can hold the belt hostage and still have the backing of the uneducated.

It’s not just AJ that would have to take a cut, it means the networks would have to take a cut, the promoters would have to take a cut, the managers etc

There is NO way they all would agree to that, they put money into Joshua and build him up, they would want to reap the benefits of that. When the other side never backed their fighter. Hence why he is only having his first PPV in 40 odd fights.

It just doesn’t work like that. They should just forget about the fight. No point in beating a dead horse.

Well there you go. It won't be no fight in April. So let AJ go take his one-trick pony show act back to the U.K. and fight another mandatory, overmatched and limited scrub.
