Al Haymon would be a fool to have Wilder take 40% in a fight with Joshua. Lennox keeps pointing this out yet some fans here think that Wilder still deserves only a flat fee. Foh lmao.

1) Wilders purse for Fury has no bearing whatsoever on what he should be paid for fighting Joshua
2) Wilders purses EVER, have no bearing whatsoever on what he should be paid for fighting Joshua
3) btw, Wilder got 50% for Fury
the ONLY relevant factor is..... what that fight will generate, and how much Wilder brings to the table..... so, come on
Hearn slipped up and recently admitted that.....
"At the moment I think a split of 65-35 in AJ’s favor is fair"
https://www.boxingscene.com/hearn-if...-50-50--133005
so....
1) any previous flat-fee offer..... was rubbish
2) it is clearly obvious, and has been for quite some time, that Wilder is worth somewhere between 35-40%..... so the ONLY relevant question is.....
Q. why haven't they offered Wilder between 35-40% ?
A. they offered Joseph Parker 32.5% because they ACTUALLY wanted to fight Joseph Parker
If they both earned nothing to this point= irrelevant
If Wilder earned £50m per fight =irrelevant
It's what TOGETHER they put in the pot and given a slight pull AJ has more titles so 60-65% is very fair for Joshua .
As you say Parker got 32.5% because they wanted the fight .
I'M a Englishman who is so disappointed with Joshua's actions that I find it difficult to watch him interviewed these day's.
No problem with the Hearns as I know they are a pair of wankers.
Lewis is spot on and Joshua hates it....learning curve here!

Now he comes out of the wood work when he thinks Wilder is vulnerable and wants a fight after 2-3 years knowing the a Fury rematch might be in the works. You even said that he's needs to stop ducking lmao.
And while Joshua is huge to you in the U.K., his gates don't dictate that. Joshua is only the A side in the U.K. He isn't the hvw champion. Wilder would be a fool to take 40% or the ridiculous 35-37% lmao.
Joshua IS ducking Wilder lol
there is no question about that, it is clearly obvious
until he offers Wilder 32.5% (min), then he is avoiding that fight..... because that is what they were willing to pay Parker, and Wilder > Parker
I am not from the UK, nor am I from the US
and I like both guys
I understand your point, and fair enough, but we may have to agree to disagree
Wilder ACCEPTED 15mil, you cannot ignore that fact..... and you cannot ignore the fact that Joshua pulls numbers that Wilder can only dream about
it is not about recent opposition, just about numbers
despite the fact that Fast Eddie pulled that contract scam, he will not forget that Wilder was happy to take a $15M lowball for the opportunity
if Wilder refuses 40% he is walking away from that fight
I am happy to bet with you that Wilder will not get more than 40% when that fight eventually happens..... which depends entirely upon when Joshua will grow a set
name your bet
the point is, he probably doesn't deserve 40% based on numbers.... but he should make around 35% - 40% based on the fact that fight will be HUGE and Joshua's biggest payday by far..... just like how Pacquiao got 40% with Mayweather
no way does Pac sell 40% of Floyd's numbers, no way..... but Mayweather is smart, because he knew that fight would be huge, so he paid Pacquiao what he needed to make it happen

Lennox Lewis only got 33% in the first Holyfield fight. Holyfield had the other two recognized belts and therefore had the leverage.
Joshua definitely has more leverage than Wilder and Joshua deserves the larger purse.

so ?
that has no bearing whatsoever on the split
I doubt it would even be mentioned
Parker had one belt, they paid him 32.5%
if anything, that means Joshua is desperate to get his hands on the last belt
just, numbers
