Leather is not like rubber. Rubber digs in and just generates too much power/grip...…...Rockin'

If you rotate your feet, you better not miss.
Did Joe Frazier rotate his feet when he threw his vaunted left hook ?

He would leave his feet sometimes . But, did he rotate them when he was grounded ?
When you rotate your feet the direction of your TOES off the back foot is usually where the punch is going , it helps guide the punch so rotating the feet is a necessity for being more accurate! A left hook gets more power when the bàckfoot is is facing easy bc that's the direction it's ggoing and you get more torque when the foot is pivoted that way.

If you throw a straight right hand and your back foot is sideways it's going to lose power and accuracy bc it losses rotation bc you aren't driving fully into the punch.

So no...rotation with direction toes are pointed is important in every punch if you go off balance it's bc your being over commuted , pivoting helps balance and setting up after a shot lands more fluidly.

You're taught that way when you start boxing as you get more experience you learn to generate power without rotating your foot

You don't generate more power not pivoting with the punch. To punch correctly without rotation of foot isn't realistic because foot placement is what drives the punch with leg balance....your talking nonsense bc direction of the back foot while simultaneously punching go hand and hand which is not a beginner skill, the best punchers anchor the punch with feet as a guide using the direction of toes .

              I disagree.
If you pivot, you have weight on that front foot.
You can learn to generate hip thrust without rotating the foot by being light on your front foot.
Power is generated with timing anyway .
You pick up speed from the start of punch then contract before impact . Not to mention, transfer of weight .

He's turning his weight with his feet. See his heel come up? That's how you throw a power punch.
