Pound for pound Louis hit as hard as anybody. His punching form is perfect on all punches. Just copy him and you will be fine. Tyson was a great puncher too.

Even in sports like baseball, shot put, javelin etc they seem to be doing it like Tyson or the modern pros and not like how they teach the beginners, or what seems to me to be optimal form. Some of these sports have no other motive other than just pure power, boxing has other things to worry about but they all do it the same. What the hell is going on? Why are they teaching it one way and then doing it another way and why does the pro way seem weaker and inferior?

The only ones that seem to do it the way they are taught are the thai boxers. They are the only ones to use the form how its taught from day one and then into the pros, but they are not rotating their kicking leg from the ground.

Everyone else gets taught to move their legs and feet like the thai boxer rotation wise but then the pros do it a different way and why they do it a different way is not known, and no one says why or teaches a separate pro technique.

No one says that's beginner rotation heres the pro rooting rotation learn this now no video of that is available no one seems to know about it or teach it etc

Freddie roach even teaches it the foot move way, but then when he throws a punch he doesn't move his feet at all, the pro boxer hitting the bag doesn't either, he doesn't even mention it whats going on?

Also when your foot is on the side and left on the side you cant use all your leg muscles as efficiently for the leg drive.

No one sprints from the starting blocks with their foot turned to the side, their toes point forward

This is the furthest throw any human has ever made and he threw it the way I thought was better. Hes the record holder, number 1 in the world and history.

So you may well be right Rockin, we might be right!

On the other hand the shot put world record keeps the foot static

My question was why do many or most shot put and javelin throwers throw with the foot static like Tyson and not with the foot rotated like Joe Louis? They are going for optimal power and quality like Joe Louis even if modern boxers are not?
