A mediocre performance overall.

Harrison did nothing special but was much more consistent with his work. He dominated the fight with his jab and landed the cleaner punches throughout the fight. He fought cautiously but still got the better of many, if not most, exchanges. He came with a smart gameplan and stuck to it the whole fight.

I scored it 115-113 and when the fight was over I had no doubt about the winner. Harrison was better than Charlo that night. These judges should be commended.
I agree. Mell was trying too hard for the K.O.

No that adage meant "beat" as in, you can't try to survive 12, and get the title! I remember how mad my father and uncles were when SRL beat Hagler. I was the only SRL fan, and they kept saying how boxing was going all wrong because "back in the day, you had to beat the champ! there were some intense Ali vs. Norton debates too! Lol! the good ol' days!

The fight was close. My eyes tells me Jermell won the fight, but he didn't look spectacular doing it. Believe it or not, it's almost like the first Pacquiao/Bradley fight. Pacquiao didn't look like his old self and the judges dinged him for it. Because Pacquiao was the more popular fighter, the outrage was far greater. Pacquiao won that fight but didn't look great and suffered the consequences. Jermell to a lesser extent didnt look good against an opponent that fought better than expected. Although, Harrison has shown that he can box but always fall short because of his poor stamina in big fights. The judges gave Harrison the benefit of the win but I can't say he necessarily deserved it.
Teddy has been off his rocker since FNF ended but from what I saw Jeff beat Manny & Toney beat Jermell.

Then why does he ALWAYS gets his predictions wrong?

I've had this discussion a few times with different people and there ain't really a way of settling it, but it's still fun to debate. My thinking is that it initially meant exactly what it said (ie the interpretation that the champ retains in a tie) but that over time as the saying was popularised folk began to give it the meaning your dad and uncles used - the meaning that is still used by a large number - possibly even the majority of fans to this day. My thinking is that it's a misunderstanding that may pretty much have become truth through popular belief.

Regardless, there is nothing in the rules of boxing that indicates that a championship bout should be scored any different to any other fight or that the Champ should be granted any advantage other than that of the ruling that of retaining in the event of a draw (which kinda implies that the challenger is required to do that bit more).

Hard to say, though. If enough judges believe that the adage means that the challenger needs to go over and above a normal victory then that is how they will score, so which is the real 'truth'?

I don’t mean that as a Teddy fan (which I am) I mean that in all honesty. You can’t be taken serious on these forums if you imply Teddy is biased because that’s just plain bull****. Teddy is notorious for picking the non club fighterbin fights and sticking up for them while yelling in the mic.
No, that was when he was in FNF. NOW he is all over the place. He has reached & is WAY PAST his peak....LMMFAO

I’m a little surprised that there are so many people saying Harrison won. I think that is because people hate the charlo boys. If charlo won would there be people posting it was a robbery? I seriously doubt it. I think most are just riding the wave cause it came in for Harrison. As as teddy goes well the man is banned for life from ever calling a fight on espn, so what does that tell you.
I've have been full support for the Charlos but Jermell lost that fight. Jermall CLEARLY won his fight.
