I find this whole situation interesting because to me it was a huge robbery however I am always open to discussion and sharing opinions with others. There really seems to be many people who truly believe Harrison won this fight.

that is what I was meaning about old-school judges..... that is why Willie Pep won a round without throwing a punch..... and that is why Adelaide Byrd still has a job after Canelo/Golovkin I
she had the right idea, but forgot to watch both fighters..... how she found some of those very quiet middle-rounds for Canelo is amusing, but yea, like most old-school judges..... when a pressure fighter faces a boxer, and the pressure fighter is ineffective, then she will score for the boxer
So if everyone is comfortable with Canelo getting 5 rounds...how is it a robbery?
I gave Canelo 1-4, 10-12. Canelo won 7-5.
The middle rounds Canelo defended well and landed nice counter shots, but he was simply outworked even if he negated most of Gennadys offense

Ultimately I think Jermell prepared for a Harrison that would fade after round 9 and not a Harrison prepared to go 12.

There was a time you had to "beat" the champion, in order to take his title. Harrison did well, but not enough to take the champions title! If it is a close round, which there were probably about 5 or 6 of those, I would give the round to the aggressor! Not the guy going backwards! Rematch should be good!

Here Teddy knows his boxing
I thought Jermell won the first time I watched it as well, but I wasn't really paying close attention to the fight and what landed and what didn't. After rewatching the fight I came up with the same score as the judges...115-113 for Harrison. He was controlling the fight with his jab, made Charlo miss wild swinging shots, and countered him when he needed to for the majority of the fight. He did just about enough to get the W. Good job by the judges.
For anyone wondering I have Harrison winning rounds 2,3,4,6,7,9,10 and Charlo rounds 1,5,8,11,12.

Teddy Atlas has no credibility here. He went on a public meltdown in close fights because his guy didn't win, now he's having an epiphany because he didn't have a favorite in this fight. The fight was close. My eyes tells me Jermell won the fight, but he didn't look spectacular doing it. Believe it or not, it's almost like the first Pacquiao/Bradley fight. Pacquiao didn't look like his old self and the judges dinged him for it. Because Pacquiao was the more popular fighter, the outrage was far greater. Pacquiao won that fight but didn't look great and suffered the consequences. Jermell to a lesser extent didnt look good against an opponent that fought better than expected. Although, Harrison has shown that he can box but always fall short because of his poor stamina in big fights. The judges gave Harrison the benefit of the win but I can't say he necessarily deserved it.

Not that Harrison is anything like Floyd but it was very similar to Floyd vs Maidana where Maidana was really agressive but Floyd was landing the cleaner punches but some people thought Floyd loss
But like he said boxing is subjective. I personally had it a draw or slight edge for Harrison for landing cleaner punches and avoiding getting hit with big shots for the most part it's hit and not get hit
