  • Who cares, Joshua looks bad any way you spin this.

Dude can't say a thing without Eddie spinning the narrative for him first.

Why is the PPV buy rate not because of Wilder, when his dance partner was a European who had been out for 3 years, and before the fight with Wilder, had next to no American exposure? It's acceptable to assume that the NON-DOMESTIC fighter brought more in? You guys said the same thing about Mayweather-Hatton, and Mayweather was absolutely a star. Sure it's not just bias?

Dance partners always matter in fights. Even Mayweather only did about 350K buys with Berto. That said, Wilder grossed more in his debut than Joshua in his last fight, with a largely unknown (to the US) and assumed washed up fighter in Fury. You can give credit to that, but you don't want to because you're listening to a narrative. And you can assume what you want of Wilder, but you're only as good as your last fight, and his last fight sold more than Joshua's lol

And $3.5M for a fight in any division is a hell of a lot of money, and generally means you're a star and a draw if you're attracting enough people to get paid that much.

41st fight against fury to be on ppv for the first time after 8 defence of being champ says it all.
His fans prefer to watch him for free. Fury is the sole reason that fight did well.

Lolx..... Fury was needed to make wilder debut ppv after 40 fights of free showtime view.
You got a brain, use it.

Blah blah, didn’t even get to the second sentence, oh wait! What sentence!

How much does Hearns pay you with that DAZN money to troll people and defend AJ on here?

AJ is a shîthouse, he allowed a fighter who was basically retired come back plus two tune ups and fight Wilder before he did!

Wilder took on the challenge of Luis Ortiz who was the boogeyman of the division while AJ sat back fighting the legendary Carlos Takam and the hard hitting Joseph Parker!

AJ blames his mandatory for not fighting Wilder and that negotiations were difficult yet turned down his own 50 million demand that was offered to him!

Keep running your mouth and spreading lies! No one cares about AJ, AJ will fight a cruiserweight, washed up Chisora, Whyte rematch or Parker rematch or David Price before he fights Wilder or Fury!

You can watch those fights while we watch Wilder vs Fury 2!

Thanks for a grown up discussion. As you see with the other guy I'm chatting with, we're not all mature lol

            Happy trolling

EDIT: Your post concerning Wilder's ability and actions outside the ring is actually correct (Wilder is an awful boxer, but c'mon he's fun to watch), but like you, I don't care. I just want good boxing, so what boxers do in their personal lives doesn't concern me. I'm there to put things into perspective for my children, so they don't grow up ******ed.

I had it 114-112 Fury. Cheers.

              Am waiting for you.
Boxing Scene already ran an article noting that Wilder-Fury outsold Whyte-Chisora, and Joshua-Povetkin. Arguing with me and getting your little cheap shots in will not change reality. Why does it hurt so bad anyway?

You go on and on about how Wilder fought for so long on TV. Did you ever consider that that long term exposure is why the fight sold well? If a guy that the US does not know, who's been in rehab centers for the last 3 years carried the fight, and Wilder is the bum who people will only watch for free, then how do we get 325K buys at $80 a pop? Who cares enough to spend that money on an unknown and another who's not worth it? I know you're trying to troll, so I guess...

              TL;DR troll better?

Before you were saying they never got to discussing terms because Joshua rejected the idea of fighting Wilder for $50 Million.

Now you want to believe one of Hearn's reasons for not progressing that discussion to a contract, but saying anyone who believes the other reasons given are deluded fanboys.

It wasn't rejected outright. It was discussed and the offer wasn't as simple as $50M - it was $50M*. They even made a counter offer and backed it up with a contract.

Who's ducking? It sounds like they were negotiating.

                • Its quite funny seeing people cling on to this 50 million offer story. Joshua didnt demand it it was plucked out of an interview about Wilders view on the worth of the fight. But they offered it, Joshua said lets roll, Hearn asked to see some details of the contract and finkel said NO i wont tell you any details of the contract and you have 24 hours to accept this offer or it is off the table. Hearn then asked to meet with Finkel in Finkels own office to discuss this or any offers or deals and Finkel again said NO, discussions would NOT be productive.

Only a whole month later did we get a couple of people claiming to of seen this contract, Frank Warren putting his foot right in it by confirming they were looking to source the money from BT Sport. No wonder they didnt want Hearn to see that contract. If there even was one at that point in time, but if there was why wouldnt you show the 1 guy in the world who really needs to see this contract for that fight to ever get made?

Dont forget Wilder and Finkel kicked off about a contract that was missing a date and venue even though everybody else, including those who preferred to play dumb knew exactly when and exactly where. But they wanted Hearn and Joshua to accept a contract without seeing as single word of that contract.

But he said he would in an interview tho, its proof tho, SHUT UP. Joshua isnt 10, this is business and thats not how any Pro Boxer does business.

Hearn confirmed that Wilder's team had the money, and then said that they still preferred to make less money to have the fight at Wembley. Duck.

they never discussed minor deal points because aj never accepted the term sheet.

but clearly it was a legitimate offer. hearn says as much. aj politely declined, which is his right.

the crazy part is his fans pretending the offer was bogus even though hearn admitted it was legit.
