Don't blame Mikey, blame Arum. Everyone knows Mikey is down for the money. Problem is Arum is down for lowballing mfers. Its a boxers game so you need to bend towards fighters to make the fights you want. Thus Mikey vs Loma wasn't gonna happen & probably won't ever happen cuz Arum isn't gonna give Mikey what Mikey thinks he's worth while other people will give Mikey what Mikey feels he's worth.

Mikey won his first title at featherweight, and has already moved up 2 weight classes.

In his foray into the 140lb division, he took on someone who is similar in size to him, who also came from a lower weight class in Broner.

135lb is as far as his power carries up it seems, and he is choosing to move up to 147 to face someone who started at 147lb, is huge for 147lb, and has openly discussed his difficulty even making the weight.

Not only that, but he is incredibly skilled. Its not like he is going up to fight a plodder like Margarito. Spence is the real thing.

The size difference is just too big, just like it was for Rigondeaux vs Lomachenko.

They will look 2 weight classes appart in the ring, and thats going to be something that Mikey can't change.

Spence will be 165lb+ in the ring, just like he has been many times before.

A guy that rehydrated 6lb at 140lb, vs a guy that rehydrates 18lbs at 147...

They wont be close enough in size to make it competitive. Mikey hits hard at 135lb, but he doesn't hit as hard at 135lb as he did at lower weights.

He will be a very very average puncher at 147lb, and he will be at a weight, height, reach, and age disadvantage.

I love Mikey Garcia, I would rate him higher than Spence p4p, but this isn't a p4p matchup, this is head to head, and spence is just too big.
