Mikey Garcia is messing up boxing...

We all wanted to see Mikey-Loma. We wanted to see Loma challenged and Mikey further cement his legacy in the weight class.

We wanted to see Spence take on another PBC Welter in preparation for an impending Crawford fight.

But now both of these pictures are screwed up because Mikey ran from a guy he didn't believe he could beat, toward a guy that no one else believes he can beat.

Is there even as much money in a Spence-Garcia fight as there is in a Loma-Garcia fight????

    Why!!!!!???

And what will be next for Mikey if he gets floored by a big body shot early? Does he stay at 147 or does he make his way back down to 40 or 35.
Does he fight Loma with a loss in his psyche?

    Just Why?!!!!!

Am I alone in believing that this Spence-Garcia fight is a horrible fight for us fight fans?

I think it's a very ****** idea as well. I don't see Mikey winning and yeah. I wonder if he's making one cent more than he would have made for a Loma fight. I'm guessing he is surely? Why else should he do this? Just bizarre really. But if he wins, that would be huge for him. However, now if he loses and drops back down, the Loma fight might lose some appeal, especially if Spence knocks him out. It's strange all the way around, man. I agree.

Haymon is his advisor, right? If so then it should be his job to advise him against such a move instead of enabling it. Pacquiao would've been a much more compelling opponent for Mikey if he insists on fighting at 147, but I feel like this whole thing is a set-up to give Spence, a company man, exposure and damage the leverage/value of Mikey, who is a free agent. Haymon should not be allowed to work as both a manager/advisor and as the CEO of PBC. It's a clear conflict of interests

Mikey has said that there was not a solid chance of a Loma fight, at least for now since he is fighting a Tank Davis leftover. Loma wanted a fight like this after his surgery before a big fight with someone like Mikey.

MG moving up to fight Spence may be a much better fight than most think. Duran did the same thing and beat SRL in 1980. Other examples too. I favor Spence in the fight, but it is far from an easy fight for him. He could/should possibly stop him late, but who knows.

Stop trying to rewrite history. Loma wanted no part of Garcia so Garcia moved on a took a bigger challenge. Garcia should be credited for attempting to be great.

He sold his undefeated record to Spence out of greed. Anyone who pays to watch him get steamrolled by Spence is a fool.

It is almost the same difference. Duran was 5'7", and SRL 5'10". The picture is misleading.

Garcia is 5'6" and Spence is 5'9 1/2"
