No one cares about this fight. It will do Gennady Golovkin/Andre Ward numbers, ~100K.

It is not about danger. It is about losing an 0. If I was Al Haymon, I would rather one of my guys lose to another one of my guys. If Mikey loses, well he lost to a giant, all is well. If he loses to Loma, it is a real loss and to a competing company. Remember Loma stole the shine from a hot PBC commodity before.

Mikey is just being ****** by taking this fight. I love him as a fighter, one of my favorites, but its just a dumb fight for him to take.
Name me one guy that jumping 2 weight classes has worked out well for in recent times, especially jumping up against a beast like Spence.
The short answer is nobody... in todays age of day before weighins, Mikey is going to walk into the ring with a huge weight disadvantage, huge size disadvantage, huge power disadvantage, huge reach disadvantage, and not that much of a skill advantage.
Also, win lose or draw, its bad for the sport. It prevents any meaningful showdowns at 147, if he pulls an upset, and then robs us of a Lomachenko fight.
If he wins, there is no way Arum puts Crawford in with him.
If he loses especially by KO, there is little to no chance we see him in with Lomachenko or Crawford anytime soon.
All the fights I want to see him in wont get made. I don't like that.Last edited by !! Shawn; 12-08-2018, 01:41 PM.

MG moving up to fight Spence may be a much better fight than most think. Duran did the same thing and beat SRL in 1980. Other examples too. I favor Spence in the fight, but it is far from an easy fight for him. He could/should possibly stop him late, but who knows.
