We all wanted to see Mikey-Loma. We wanted to see Loma challenged and Mikey further cement his legacy in the weight class.

We wanted to see Spence take on another PBC Welter in preparation for an impending Crawford fight.

But now both of these pictures are screwed up because Mikey ran from a guy he didn't believe he could beat, toward a guy that no one else believes he can beat.

Is there even as much money in a Spence-Garcia fight as there is in a Loma-Garcia fight????

Height isn't the only factor, frame counts just as much. Mikey maxes out at 140 - and even there he looks a little soft. Spence is a big welter, wouldn't look out of place at 154

I was just responding to the pictures you posted, where Duran and SRL look similar heights, and Mikey and Spence look to have a huge height difference.

I realize it is only one factor you figure in size.

So because Garcia does take the fight you want him to take when you want him to take it he is messing up boxing? I don't think so. I think Mikey is good for boxing and a good champion. He either fights top contenders or he gives up the title. He earned the right to fight Spence by beating the hell out of Broner and winning a world title at 140. If he wants to fight Spence rather than Loma I say it's his choice and his career. He will be very well paid for fighting Spence. Maybe he got a better offer to fight Spence than he did to fight Loma. Spence probably will knock him out but he thinks he can win and he calls the shots on is own career,not the fans. Mikey is a warrior and I doubt a KO loss to Spence will make him less of a fighter if he fights Loma after Spence. Spence vs Mikey is a good fight. Mikey is about a 4 to 1 underdog which is not so bad. Some are picking Mikey to score an upset. Thurman will be about a 40 to 1 favorite over Lopez and Brook will also be about a 40 to 1 favorite today. One sided complete mismatches like those fights hurt boxing not Garcia taking a very risky fight to pursue his goals.

Mikey is fighting Spence because he is afraid to fight Loma?????? That's just ridiculous. Spence is far more dangerous than Loma and Mikey knows it. Mikey is a fearless fighter who never ran from any fight. There are other cherry picking champions and top contenders you could be insulting instead of Mikey who doesn't deserve it.

Mikey is ducking lomachneko and the bob arum excuse is old. Sure, bob is like any promoter but with lomachenko he has made fights with other promoters. Mikey wont even come to the table when it comes to Lomachenko.

Look at his last fight against linares. Loma and linares wanted it to happen and Arum/GBP made it happen. The event peaked at 1.7 million views and they got 10,000 people to go to MSG.

And lomachenko has never mentioned fighting Mikey Garcia? After rigo he was asked if he was going to move up to 135 and he said yes. When asked about potential opponents he gave Mikey Garcia as an answer. That was LAST YEAR when he was at 130 still.

Hes only had ONE fight at 135 and it was against the #2 guy in the division. That's pretty impressive. Could you imagine usyk fighting wilder/Fury at HW in his first HW fight? Same story.

This next fight against pedraza was already lined up FAR before Spence/Mikey was too. It was announced even before Loma/Linares that Lomachenko would face the winner of Pedraza/Beltran in December.

If you're Mikey and the #1 p4p guy is in your division why would you not make a fight with him? He would have been available and if you took out Commey then you would be lined up for an undisputed unification.

But heres the thing. Mikey is a businessman first and a boxer second. What a lot of people forget to tell you is that Mikey Garcia is 100% the B side. Mikey only brings like 600k viewers and isnt gonna be some B side to Arum. Just like before he wants to dictate his worth and that's why hes fighting spence. It's a low risk, high reward kind of fight for him.

If he loses he can make the excuse, I tried to be great but the bigger man won. Then he can call lomachenko up to 140 when he can't make 135 anymore. It's much better for his brand to take an L to an out of division opponent than it is to the best in your division.

That's how business works and hes playing all these "fans" like a fiddle. If he truly cared about being the best he would fight lomachenko at 135.

Robert and Arum have had conversations. Robert wants Lomachenko and doesnt see what Mikey sees in a Spence fight but he will support his brother.

If Spence wins it's because he's better not bigger.
