I'll take the over on 200k.
Sports fans were more into this fight than I would have guessed. Out here in Vegas it was a topic of conversation at sportsbooks, being advertised & talked about on TV all the time & a sign of the times for a boxing match going mainstream or mainstream-er is MMA podcasts talking about it & they've been talking about Wilder vs Fury a lot in recent days & weeks as the fight approached.
I think the bottom estimate I have is 350k-400k & the ceiling in the 600k range.
I really hope you're right, but here in L.A. I didn't see much hype. I called about a dozen bars and none were having the fight.
600K would be phenomenol. I personally think its a Golovkin, Ward type fight where only hardcores really care, and a few casuals.Comment

I think 350-400K is more likely. Then again i thought they would get 13k at Staples so what do I know.Comment

Cut that $30 million to $13,500,000, which is the cut for the promoter. Take away the guaranteed purses from Wilder ($4 million), Fury ($3 million), Hurd ($1 million), Stevenson ($2 million), and the rest of the fighters (at least over $1 million) and you have a whopping $2.5 million left. I'm guessing they spent over $2.5 million on promoting the event.
Try bringing up the gate and UK's PPV numbers when they're released because, going by your number, they lost money on this. So much for your math.Comment

And who told you the promoter's cut? Promoters receive a negotiated flat fee on PBC events.Cut that $30 million to $13,500,000, which is the cut for the promoter. Stevenson wasn't part of the PPV, genius.

There is more leverage then you think with getting more of the PPV cut.
And its also worth noting that because Fox & Showtime both have their own streaming platforms & their PPV's are being sold on said platforms there is gonna be a certain % of PPV's bought through those platforms that don't gotta give a cut to a middleman cuz they our their own middleman basically.Comment
