why do people think a new trainer solves everything? Some people will never be elite technical boxers whoever is teaching them. And how often do these trainer switches work out well in established fighters? They usually look worse than ever when they change things up. Wilder is doing exactly what he shluld do with his attributes, throw bombs and hope one lands. He was seconds away from being 41-0 with that strategy.

hatton switched it up...hired floyd sr...wanted to be a defensive minded fighter....got caught with his head sticking out there wide open and got laid the **** out

you can teach wilder whatever you want right now..doesnt mean once he gets in the ring he wont revert to his instincts

A change of trainer will not change him. He has a very capable team around him now. If he does not listen and looks only to land power shots, that is on him. He is Lemieux 2.0

Yes he should because I think his trainer is mentally challenged.

But no he shouldn't because as mentioned above, he's too hard headed he believes his own hype so much that he won't change.

Who was it? Was it Lennox that tried to give him some pointers a few years back and he wouldn't listen?

Listen, he has that bomb and to this very day it's been working for him. He has a coach that encourages it so just leave it, he has a system that works for him.

He has a few more fights left in him to make enough for himself and his family, he doesn't look like he blows money fast so he's made a good career for himself.

He's got to be the most successful one trick pony in the game. Just like some guys claim to fame and only reason to be in the game was size back in the day and nothing else, Wilder is an example of someone who just has immense power that eventually lands.

Damn shame that he couldn't bring that athleticism and power to some elite level.

It would be useless. Nobody can teach him boxing at 33 years of age. If Wilder fights top opposition he can win either by a KO or by robbery. That's it.
