I think he went down amazed at how hard this little guy had just hit him.

As for Wilder’s next fight. I absolutely think he should press for the Fury rematch, if AJ isn’t next. He made a lot of correctable mistakes. The biggest being spending the majority of the night staring at Fury doing nothing, looking for an opening to land one big shot.
I think Wilder would've thrown more punches had he actually been landing what he was throwing. We tend to see this in boxer/brawler match-ups. All that swinging and missing was zapping his confidence and stamina.

He could also fight Whyte, assuming he beats Chisora. However, Wilder isn't trying to do anything that benefits Hearn. At least Whyte would be easier than Ortiz or Fury.

I still think AJ/Miller and Wilder/Whyte should happen on the same night.

Fury caught him with that cross and Wilder wisely hung on to recuperate. But you're right:watching it live made it seem more damaging than it was. Especially after the shock of the knockdown

Yep precisely, because this champion4ever doesn't get it any other way. I just want to show him that 8-4 with 2 knockdowns isn't a draw, which after several pages he's still convinced it is.

That's not how I scored it, but I tried to simplify it for you as you're clearly a bit simple. Now I know it will prob take you a while, but what did you get?
With two KDs and no even rounds, Fury would have to win eight rounds to win the fight. If my math is correct, he’d win 114-110. If he wins seven, it becomes a 113-113 draw. Which is why I hate the ten point must system. It gives too big a bonus for scoring a KD. Especially when you’re only fighting ten or twelve rounds. Either way, in a fight where neither fighter is having a lot of offensive success. Judges tend to lean towards the aggressive fighter. Even if the aggression isn’t effective.

Of course he can more than before this fight. But based on this result he did not get more leverage to negotiate a better deal with AJ. He sc****d by. If he beat Fury by KO - his stock would have gone up significantly. Surviving controversially against what probably should have been a Fury's points win does not get you any significant leverage. And Hearn knows that. And if there is a rematch in the UK, Wilder will only see the AJ fight if AJ decides to give it to him as a charity. No way Wilder would have won that fight in the UK. He, in the opinion of so many, shouldn't have won in the US. So, yeah, he should have taken the AJ fight. He would have a better chance of winning and would have made way more money than fighting Fury.

Sure looked that way to me. When we see the rematch, we'll know for sure it was.

And we know its coming, because AJ isnt going anywhere near these two.

                Good scrap, regardless.

114-112, but yes he still wins. There is an idiot in this thread who thinks 8-4 is a draw with the 2 knockdowns
