How does Vegas equate to PPV buys? I get it brings in money for the city with the casinos and they put on CCTV broadcasts in theaters but compared to a stadium that can hold almost 100k, I don’t see it. That’s just from the fight night gate side too. When it comes to PPV buys, who cares all that much where the fight happens?

If the fighters are known and the fight is properly marketed, people should be buying it regardless of venue.

These fights ARE TOO EXPENSIVE. If the prices were lowered, people would spend the money to buy them. Get the prices down to 35-40 and they’ll sell 4 times as many plus build the boxer’s profile. THEN build up a mega fight and charge the normal rate.

Simply put the casinos in Vegas put up more money to host big fights than live gates can provide. PPV sales will be what they are.

That's because boxing isn't the only mainstream combat sport around anymore. That an HW really lost its luster compared to its Zenith in the 90's.

Would they sell more? I'll be buying the fight and haven't even looked to see what it costs.

Your average bloke who doesn't follow boxing won't even know Wilder Fury is on, let alone buy it.
