Do you know who Deontay Wilder is?

I get you but that wasn't the point. If Wilder did that in the UK with Fury, he wouldn't hear that many no's. Fury is very well known here and known by non boxing fans... not for the best of reasons I should add.Comment

Yeah, Wilder is the guy team Joshua doesn't want to fight.I watched a video earlier with Fury asking this question and out of 21 people, only two people knew who he was.
I remember Hearn asking the same question a few months ago when he was in America so I wanted to test it out.
I live in Brooklyn, New York (Bedstuy) and I sat on my stoop and asked about 8 people who walked by who Wilder was.
Only 1 of them knew him. I'm a huge fan of Wilder and I want him to win Saturday but that is not good.Comment

I kid
I would bet wilder is more popular in England than here. boxing is alive and well on Europe, especially England where your promoter is helping expand the US's. I'm grateful, why there's people not on board i don't get, but and thats beside the point.i apologize that America doesn't help Maintain and promote boxing on a global scale. I don't understand, America just doesn't like boxing like it use to.Comment

I never understood Network/promoter groupies. I (begrudgingly) subscribe to each platform over here, and I hate that they don't fight each other. When HBO folded I was happy that it was going to just be Showtime and ESPN. Now with DAZN we still have 3 platforms, but even more groupies.Or how about you stop being an AJ/Matchroom/Sky nuthugger for once in your life and appreciate both networks?
IMO BT Sport for the Fury-Wilder fight has appealed to boxing fans, Sky Sports appeals more to football casuals who have a passing interest in the sport.
Both are a good thing.Comment
