Comments Thread For: Adrien Broner is Risky Business For Manny Pacquiao

By Michael Rosenthal - Manny Pacquiao's decision to fight Adrien Broner on January 19 was sound, but make no mistake: It's risky. Pacquiao, who turns 40 on December 17, wants to make as much money as possible before the aging process forces him to hang up his gloves. That's why the ultimate fight for him is a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, which would provide one last windfall in his remarkable career. However, as we know, there are no guarantees that a second fight with his rival will ever happen. In the meantime...

Simply put, Broner is a live underdog against aging Pacquiao.

        No chit.

        It's number 2 vs number 8.

It's a do or die moment for the two. If you lose this fight you're done. Game over. Retirement.

Probably one of the greatest almost 50-50 fight in the welterweight division out of all upcoming fights in 2019.

        Meanwhile...

*number 1 crawford will be fighting number 45.
*number 3 spence will be fighting a lightweight
*number 4 porter will be fighting number 12
*unranked thurman will be fighting number 36

As a longtime PacMan admirer and a certified Broner basher, I completely concur with the last sentence in this article.

Why do you go by Boxrec's rankings when they are clearly the most flawed rankings possible?

Broner is not Top 10 in any actual legitimate rankings.

Pacman needs a knockout or dominating victory for interest in Mayweather II.

It requires vigilance, calculation, and precision against the 29 yr. old Broner.
