I guess that's why Usyk is jumping in. He's obviously an excellent boxer. But against a 250 lb AJ? Or the right hand of DW?
Actually Usyk might have a better chance to last vs Wilder than current Fury, IMO.

Was within a hair of defeating Wilder. And got some help from the ref and then the officials at the start of the next rd. I hadn't seen that before.

Originally posted by _Rexy_ View PostI’ve seen it. Happens in NYC since the citylost lawsuit (fighter died) so a doctor will check a guy who’s taken a lot of punishment at the start of the round. If he feels the guy can’t go (eyes glazed, concussion signs) the fight stops. The doctor can’t do it during the time between rounds since each guy is alloted 60 seconds with their corner man.

Pretty sure it’s only a couple years old though.
Also, I thought wilder was really hurt when I watched the fight too, but when I watched it a second time he seemed 100% fine, walked to the corner on stable legs shaking his head.

I recall Dundee saying he knew then Clay would become champ from his recuperative power after the knock down vs Doug Jones. But Ali never fought him again.

But that quick recovery vs Banks is what Dundee thought showed Clay would become champ.
