Nope Brezeale is next in line but I think it'll play out the same way. Ortiz was knocked down three times in the fight. I just think Wilder will be a little more cautious in his attack so he won't get stung like that again.

If he could stay sharp and make minor adjustments he would probably win a rematch but I don't see it coming off for a few reasons.

        1. Wilder could lose to Fury and that's going to play out to 2019 in a rematch would mean a third fight is possible which squashed next year.

        2. Wilder has mandatory EVENTUALLY.

        3. Joshua fight would be looking at the end of next year which goes into 2020...Wilder will drag it out because that's what he's done.

There's higher chance Wilder won't have a belt in this time span...Ortiz getting another title shot when he's able to stay sharp at 50 is the real problem , hopefully he actually fights someone notable before then, it doesn't seem to be this guys forte...lol

This is fantasy land, but bear with me... the best thing that could happen in the HW division would be to hold a WBSS for the top 8 contenders. Taking Whyte, Miller, Ortiz, Pulev, Breazeale, Povetkin, Parker, Fury all off the cards leaves Wilder and Joshua very few legitimate options but each other to fight. It could even leave enough time for a 2 fight deal in case of dodgy ref/judges. Tournament winner then becomes 1st mandatory for the unified champ. If there's time before the tournament finishes, the unified champ can have a stay-busy fight against a fringe contender. Then line up the alphabet mandatory challengers until the champ gets beaten or retires.

Ortiz could fight Fury after Tyson takes the title next weekend. After the rematch of course

He's not a mandatory for any of Aj's belts , he just had a title fight and since only beat Razvan Cojanu since.

It would be a decent enough fight, no would complain at that one but he's not done anything to earn it and he doesn't bring any money to queue jump.

He's was an undefeated Heavyweight Contender, his ONLY loss was to the Heavyweight Champion.
Matter of Fact, AJ and Oriz were BOTH fighting for Hearn, AJ kept asking for that fight, OOPS IT WAS ORTIZ......I WONDER WHY HEARN COULDNT MAKE THAT FIGHT EITHER???????
