I know Lennox isn't Lineal Champ anymore, hence why I asked why you were mentioning him.

    Lenox retired lineal champ.

Klitschko then took that title during his domination of the heavyweight division.

He lost that title when he lost Fury
Semi retirement or drugs ban, doesn't matter.

He has a W in the column against Klitschko, not a NC.

    He is the Lineal Champ.

I guess on your reckoning, Klitschko still retained the status of Lineal champ, until he lost to AJ, which makes AJ lineal champ......said no one apart from you

So Lewis lost his title when he retired but Fury didn't?

      Writing your own rules.

He also won the lineal title at a time he was actually serving a post dated ban for a failed drugs test.

Yes because Lewis didn't come back. If you don't understand this. I can't help you.

Just like when Rocky Marciano retired, that broke the Lineage. If we stop it there, then we haven't had a lineal champion since. Patterson, Ali, Holmes, Holyfield, Tyson, Foreman, Lewis, Klitschko....none were Lineal Champs.

How did you know Lewis wasn't coming back? If Lewis came back now would he still be lineal champ? You retire, you lose lineal status. Just like Mayweather did at WW when he retired for a couple of years.

I can't reason with this sort of ******ity. I'm out

You're right, there is no point to this fight. Let's just cancel it.

Only ******ity is you claiming Fury is lineal. Everyone who has retired as lineal has lost lineal when they retired. Mayweather lost lineal when he retired at WW for a couple of years. Somehow you want to change this for Fury.

                DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT.

Tyson was in prison for years, awful diet, booze and drugs snuck in for him, 1 tune up.

Ali was suspended for 3 years, got fat, expected to never fight again: 2 tune ups.

I know fury had his breakdown, and I can relate, but if you need 5 tuneups you shouldn’t be boxing. IMO 2 is the perfect number. He seemed angry that sefari quit so soon because I think he beat wanted 24 rounds, but it is what it is. Props to both parties for giving us this fight.

And to the OP the only one in a “lose/lose” situation is AJ and Hearn. They were in the drivers seat and now Hearn is trying to save face in the media telling us the fight will never happen, and AJ’s social media is being flooded with people calling him a duck.
I don't think two tune up is enough, not sure if you have listened to the interview his father gave a couple of days ago, he too mentioned the same number of tune ups.

You cannot have a better chance at beating Wilder or Joshua at this stage. He wouldn't even beat Ortiz, Whyte at this stage.

There is a reason Tony Bellew tried to cherrypick Fury before the Pianeta fight. Most boxers and former boxers have also picked against Fury due to this.

I don't know what face Hearn or Joshua are trying to save, I never thought the Wilder/Fury would happen too, its just a normal reaction, been sceptical about the fight happening doesn't mean = I dont want it to happen.

If Hearn had put on Fury v Joshua now he and Joshua would be destroyed for cherrypicking and Joshua would lose tonne of support of here. Thats just to put things into perspective.

                    Ok

So this just comes down to us disagreeing what makes a Lineal Champ.

If Lenox returned now after over a decade out, he wouldn't be Lineal champ. Tyson beating him would further solidify his claim, by remaking that break in the line.

2 years out is nothing, we aren't talking about a belt here. We are talking about a traceable line of wins, which goes back to the 19th century.

If you want to break the lineal, for a 2 year lay out then fine.

Who is your Lineal Champ. There has to be one. In that time AJ has fought Klitschko, a previous lineal champ and gone on to Unify the division.

Is he the lineal champ in your mind?

There doesn't have to be a lineal champ at all and there isn't one until the top 2 fighters in the divisions fight.
