I've yet to see a "serious" and relevent argument in this whole thread.

      Both lies.
Toney was never in the hospital.
Hopkins was a solid rising prospect, just like Jones.
      Stop lying.

        You've never seen Nunn fight.

Trust me, Nunn was very, very, very good.

I would seriously hope not, seeing as Roy predicted he would have more problems with Lou then expected by most, seeing as they were sparring partners for some times.
That and how he dominated de valle for the entire fight minus 1 minute.

            Incorrect.
            I have seen Nunn fight.
And yes, he was very very good.
However, he was not in Roy's class.

If you saw Nunn fight at his best (pre-Kalambay, before he ****** his career up his nose), you'd say different.

What he lacked in natural talent, he made up for with training very hard and with his ring smarts. Guy was quality, even after the shoulder injury in early 96.

I remember the fight with Serwano (guy I thought Jones Jr had killed), Richie would land a right hand as Serwano would realise a punch and this went on and on every ****ing time until the referee just waved it off.. once Richie had found his range, he just punched with Serwano and his shot would get their first every time. That was sheer smarts in there.
I'm not saying Richie was some sort of special talent, he wasn't. But he was a commited trainer and had extensive experience in the amateurs (boxing all different nations), and picked up a lot of ring smarts and was just ****ing quality.. not the kind of guy you'd call garbage.

I guess we'll never know if Woodhall would of beaten one-eyed Julian Jackson for the title - Woodhall was kept on the WBC mandatory spot for almost 18 months by a certain Mr King! As soon as it was known that Woodhall was having shoulder surgery, all of a sudden King gave him his shot (and even the American commentators had Woodhall beating Holmes by three or four rounds, but the judges scorecards showed that he was going to be on the end of a robbery if he lasted the final round through the shoulder pain - which he didn't. I think that's one reason Calzaghe didn't go to America to fight - because Joe remembered his best friend Woodhall almost on the end of a robbery over there).
