http://www.bbc.co.uk/shropshire/cont..._feature.shtmlOriginally posted by JuicyJuiceWoodhall was real smart (as you could tell when listening to him as a pundit on BBC), good tactician, good technician, liked to work on the outside a lot and I suppose his chief weapon was his speed. What he lacked in natural talent, he made up for with training very hard and with his ring smarts. Guy was quality, even after the shoulder injury in early 96.
I remember the fight with Serwano (guy I thought Jones Jr had killed), Richie would land a right hand as Serwano would realise a punch and this went on and on every ****ing time until the referee just waved it off.. once Richie had found his range, he just punched with Serwano and his shot would get their first every time. That was sheer smarts in there.

I was in a dispute with my manager for about eight months, he kept me out of the ring. My manager at the time was Frank Warren, and it’s probably the biggest regret of my career that I had a fall out with him because ultimately he kept me out of the ring for eight months and when I came back to defend my title I was beaten by Marcus Beyer and with all respect to Marcus Beyer he was a fighter that should never have beaten me, it was literally ring rust that beat me that night.Originally posted by JuicyJuice

True. Once Richie found his range after five rounds or so he schooled Beyer for the rest of the fight (with only a couple of potential 10-10's).Comment

I Always Knew Lacey Was Way Out Of His Depth, Joe Had Done It All Before With Sheika, Brewer , Mitchell And So On Who Were All Expected To Beat Him In America But Ended Up Eating Humble Pie. Oh And Roy Jones And Bernard Hopkins Kept Pricing Themselves Out Of Proving Themselves Against JoeComment

Oh Yeah And Thats Fresh Sheika Who Was Supposed To Be The Greatest Prospect Who Joe Battered And Finished, Not Faded Sheika Who Battered LaceyComment

JC would never ever beat a prime 168 RJJ never
JC has stayed in his comfort zone fighting mediocre fighters never coming up in weight to fight a top 30 p4p
in fact recently he asked Paul Brigs,Glen Johnson,James Toney,B-Hop to come down to 168 which proves what kind of man he isComment
