Who the heck is he going to fight anyway??? Top Rank has a deal to be exclusively on espn. TR fighters are not allowed to appear on other networks, unless it goes to a purse bid. And he just re-signed with TR. He knows the only way for him to fight a big name would be a joint-ppv. And considering Bummed's one ppv sold less than 50k, that isn't a realistic option either.

He chose easy money over fighting the best. And that's cool. It is fine with me. I'm not going to hate on a man for agreeing to fight tomato cans for $3 million a pop. That's his call.

He gets so much crap because he chooses to only face weak opposition while always talking about how he will fight anyone.
No Top Rank fighters is exclusive to ESPN; ESPN's deal is with Bob Arum, not his fighters. Bob Arum is the impediment, and folks need to start acknowledging that.

Crawford saw the landscape, and made the decision to secure the bag for his family (@$3m per fight, it wouldn't shock me if he signed a 4-year, $25m guaranteed deal to stay where he's at).

Crawford's problem is that the type of fighter that's in him/in his mind can't just sit back with the money; he wants to dominate whatever space he's in, but he can't do that now because he's signed that right away.

If Khan won't fight Brook without a rehydration clause, I'm sure Bud would fight him! What better way to set up for a Spence Jr. fight, than Crawford vs. Brook (or Khan)!
Brook can beat Crawford, though; Bob wouldn't dare take that risk (especially with the financial shares dictating that the fight likely ends up in the UK).

Doubt that Khan gets offered enough money to take the fight though.

On Saturday night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma, Egidijus Kavaliauskas (21-0, 17KOs) knocked out Nicaragua's Roberto Arriaza (17-1) in the third round with WBO world welterweight champion Terence Crawford watching at ringside.

huh am I lost in time??

Why would the WBSS winner at 140lbs (my money is still on Prograis) make that move when they'd leave the tournament WBA/IBF/wbc champion, the WBO champion (Hooker) is now free from his obligation, and Mikey Garcia is due for 140lbs in short order?

So in other words Crawford is never going to fight anyone elite until Bob is ready to cash him out? Other than making a little bread fighting safe fights for another 3-4 years, what was the point of resigning with Arum? Arum didn't even promise this underachiever a fight or anything. Who the fk would resign with Bob without any big money fight on the horizon or as being part of the deal? This kid Crawford loves taking no risks for little reward.

Crawford has one of the worst resumes in boxing history by age 31. Even Chavez Jr. started fighting elite guys in his mid 20s. My god this kid has 0 elite fighters and he's in his 3rd divsion going on 32.
