Crawford was the undisputed champ at 140, so people need to stop with this not proven at WW garbage. If you clean out a division by becoming the undisputed champ, you automatically deserve a shot at a title, which he got in his first fight by becoming the first fighter to knockout undefeated Jeff Horn, and then he became the first fighter to knockout undefeated Benavidez.

Crawford’s earned a shot against Thurman, Spence, and Porter.

Danny Garcia had a worse resume than Crawford at 140, and after Rod Salka he got title fights with Thurman and Porter.

Honestly Spence's fight isn't much different than him fighting Crawford. Crawford has had 2 fights a WW and was a former 140lb champ. Mickey hasn't fought WW but has fought BETTER 140b opposition than Crawford has and has been a champ there as well. It's actually a good fight. Crawford even wanted a Mickey fight and Bob wanted to set that up.

I agree with everything else you worte

Mikey hasn’t fought better 140 lb opposition than Crawford has, he fought a trash AB that was ducking Crawford, and then he was marked up by Lipinets.

Crawford dominated 140 and stopped every opponent except the undefeated Postol (who got dropped by Crawford). Bud became undisputed champ so easily that many thought he’d become the top WW before he even got to 147.

Jeff Horn was/is TRASH! Manny was robbed, and everyone knows that! Zab, Matthysse, and Peterson, are better than anybody Bud fought @ 140! DSG went through Guererro to get Thurman!

You're right, Bud deserves a shot, but he's with TR, so he's stuck! Mikey is with Haymon, and he's getting a PPV at AT&T Stadium for a WW Championship! Bud, he got Horn! Choices have consequences! Don't hate Mikey for being smart!

Yawn. Unless arum is willing to send Crawford to PBC he's stuck fighting B and C level fighters. PBC has 147 on lock. ESPN and Top Rank has nothing to offer Crawford at 147.

Mikey is selling his undefeated record to Errol Spence and PBC. He is going to get bullied and pummeled on national TV by a guy 20lbs heavier than him in the ring. I wouldnt call him smart just greedy.

Spence is fighting Mikey Garcia in March, and then likely has the Porter-Ugas winner for the fall (assuming that Thurman and Pacquiao win their respective fights and fight each other: Thurman, the IBF mandatory if it's called, Pacquiao, and Danny Garcia are the other foremost options). After those fights, assuming he keeps winning, Spence has a likely WBC/WBA/IBF unification fight in hand for 2020.
