Ward's first win over Kovalev is better than a potential win over Usyk

Most people don’t even credit Ward with that win. If Ward beat Usyk, actually beat him, it would be by far Ward’s greatest achievement

Impressive is how he looked against Gassiev and Glowacki

Against Bellew, he was getting timed and looked a bit frustrated at times. ... Nevertheless, he got the KO, bit wasn't impressive in that fight

Just as Wilder KOd Washington, but really wasn't that impressive... It happens

I think the Kovalev win will trump a current win over Usyk. Just my thoughts

Oh yeah, and Ward will beat Usyk at CW if he ever comes back, but if/when he does, it won't be better than his 2 Kovalev victories.
Problem with your question is that Ward did not win the first Kovalev fight.
Anyone with eyes in their head knows this.

He didn’t win. Plain and simple.
He was handed the belts by Americans.

            3. Unified the IBF, WBA and WBO belts.

            4. Had a close to 90% KO%

            5. Was #3 & #5 on boxings P4P lists

Many people accused Ward of ducking Kovalev
Who did he beat? Why was ggg a "hype job" but kovalev legit? As far as I saw, he didn't beat a better level of opposition. ggg had a great ko % and a bunch of belts too, but it didn't matter cuz he fought nothing but bums doe.

Well if you are of that opinion, then a dominant win over Usyk would absolutely be better than his Kovalev fights.

I tend to agree with you.

Usyk would embarrass Kovalev. Totally different levels. This forum cracks me up.

What difference does it make? In my opinion he has zero chance to beat Usyk and is never going to fight him. Others take about it but Ward never says a word about it. Ward is worth 8 million bucks and has an easy, fun, well paying job. He says his body can no longer take the hard training to be in the shape he wants to be in for competition so there will be no Ward comeback.
