Honest question. Whats he giving you that you wanna see now that isn't on PPV?I must admit, that Al Haymon is really beginning to step up his game with the PBC; Given his new platforms with both the Fox and Showtime networks, with more than a $100 mil budget to go along with it. At least he is putting the money to good use by giving us boxing fans the fights that we want to see.
PBC coulda been doing PPV's in 2015 for the fights we wanted to see.Comment

They have to do PPV's before Canelo does a huge DAZN fight because IMO that is going to make PPV almost a thing of the past.I'm already seeing potential problems doe. PBC gots two TV deals (Showtime & Fox) worth something like 100M+ I believe & went directly to doing PPV's now.
They got 2 or 3 PPV's (& maybe 3 or 4 in a few weeks cuz I tend to believe Thurman vs Porter II would be a PPV) on tap before they've even done their first Showtime/Fox show under this new agreement. They could've been doing PPV's in 2015 giving us the fights we wanted.
I think you might get one big Floyd PPV and ten thats it. I think PPV is gonna be all but done soon.Comment

The truth is this is a mismatch. Davis is my favorite fighter, but he won't get any passes with me. I consider this the cherrypick that it is.Berchelt has a fight, Mikey has a fight, Lima has a fight, prograis has a fight, pac has a fight but you want Davis to fight these fighters and not to mention most you mentioned are at 140-147 now. This is a great fight for fans builds his name and will be action and keep him active. No pleasing some people haha.Comment

Well right now his hands are tied at the moment because he is in competition with DAZN and Eddie Hearn. Therefore, he is going to have to offer these guys pay per view purses in order to keep them happy and content.
In addition, now he finds himself in competiton with DAZN's deep pockets too; As Eddie Hearn continues to poach fighters from his stable. Besides, Dazn has a much bigger budget and could offer pay per view purses solely on its platform alone.
However, Showtime and Fox are unable to do that. In short, Haymon is doing whatever he deems necessary to keep his talent roster together and if that means offering them Pay per view then so be it.Comment

Wait...so you think they are trying to get a bunch of PPV's in between now & Cinco de Mayo 2019 & then PPV is dead or almost dead basically. And they won't be doing anymore PPV's? Or much fewer & further between anyway.
Interesting theory. Why do you think thats what PBC is thinking?
Idk about that theory, but I guess we will find out real quick how legit it is cuz either big fights like the ones on PPV coming up will be on regular Fox or Showtime or big fights will go down to the frequency they were when they had their time share situation.Comment

A stay busy fight where Mares gets blown out and Tank and his fans celebrate the win as though he just beat a prime Arguello.Comment

Once people can see Canelo and AJ for $10, I think they aren't going to want to pay the money for PPV.Wait...so you think they are trying to get a bunch of PPV's in between now & Cinco de Mayo 2019 & then PPV is dead or almost dead basically. Unless PBC PPV's are priced MUCH lower than usual. What I am hopeful is Fox will put on the "PPV level" fights like Spence/Porter for free.
I just don't know if PPV is sustainable. I could be wrong. Maybe Haymon does the Don King thing and makes PPV cards monster.Comment
