Poor fight. Abner shouldn't be fighting at 130, he's too small.

I hope they put Davis vs Mares as the co-main for Pac vs AB. Too good to be true there if thats a PPV doe I bet.
I do feel like Thurman vs Porter will be more aimed at Mar/Apr doe. I believe I heard Kenny saying they wanted to heal up & go for a Mar/Apr return. I also think that works towards the Porter's advantage keeping Thurman out a lil longer too. The more rust on Thurman the better for Kenny & Shawn.Comment

Since they signed the deal the fights announced so far have been either PPV's or "look good" fights for the top names. Short term that is fine but I agree that after this they need to make the Hurd/Charlo, Russell/Snata Cruz and Porter/Spence type fights.I need to see it before I'll believe it. PBC's tip top fighter trajectory has left me feeling less than impressed even as a big fan of PBC & more specifically Al Haymon.
And it could be Davis' worst fight of next year like you are saying, but hopefully that doesn't mean its also his only fight of next year if he keeps with the same rotation he had in 2018.
They also need to try to work with the other guys to give us the fights we want.
I don't think it will be his only fight. People need to remember PBC got 2 deals from Fox and SHo so they are no longer doing the time buy thing. I expect better fights now.Comment

He was arrested 3 times in 2018. I’d say that played a major role also. He has the contract with Under Armour so I’m guessing they were playing it safe. But all of Floyd guys are inactive so who knowsSupposed to be in late 2018 til things with Tank & Floyd went south again. Or coulda been a coincidence, but I'll take my chances it was Tank & Floyd beef related that the fight got pushed back a couple months.
Hopefully Tank vs Mares happens. Look forward to finally seeing Tank back in the ring.Comment

I'm already seeing potential problems doe. PBC gots two TV deals (Showtime & Fox) worth something like 100M+ I believe & went directly to doing PPV's now.Since they signed the deal the fights announced so far have been either PPV's or "look good" fights for the top names. They got 2 or 3 PPV's (& maybe 3 or 4 in a few weeks cuz I tend to believe Thurman vs Porter II would be a PPV) on tap before they've even done their first Showtime/Fox show under this new agreement. They could've been doing PPV's in 2015 giving us the fights we wanted.Comment

Thurman-Porter II won't be PPV IMO because the first one wasn't. If so then that'll be in March for a PPV.I'm already seeing potential problems doe. PBC gots two TV deals (Showtime & Fox) worth something like 100M+ I believe & went directly to doing PPV's now.

I must admit, that Al Haymon is really beginning to step up his game with the PBC; Given his new platforms with both the Fox and Showtime networks, with more than a $100 mil budget to go along with it. At least he is putting the money to good use by giving us boxing fans the fights that we want to see.Comment
