Comments Thread For: Lara: I Feel I Clearly Beat Hurd, I Need My Best To Beat Castano

Cuban southpaw Erislandy Lara still believes that he deserved to win a 154-pound unification bout against Jarrett Hurd in April at Barclays Center in New York, despite being floored in the final round by "Swift" Hurd, whose split-decision victory added Lara's WBA "super" world championship to the IBF version Hurd already owned.

Lara, do something besides run when you face tough competition then maybe someone will show up to see you fight.

That Cuban jab/running bull**** isn't bringing anyone to see you box.

Dude can never just take an L. Always crying.

This is a very good fight. Props to Lara for taking this high risk low reward fight. He is a warrior for damn sure. Cuban with the most balls

Don't know why pure boxing cubans feel so entitled. That slick style of boxing earns no fans.

They can never just lose. They think they can jab their way to victory as if fans wanted to see that.

What card is this fight on?
Or will it be it's own event?

You shouldn't talk about a fight you never even saw.

Lara stood in right in front of the much, much bigger Hurd the entire fight. His defense was his offense. Lara did not take one step backward the entire fight. He brought the fight to Hurd, and the vast majority of people who did watch the fight, had him winning.

I get that he outboxed Canelo in a boring fashion. But Lara-Hurd is Fight of the Year. And that is because Lara stood in front of Hurd the entire fight and traded power shots with him the entire fight.

That is why you are red w/zero rep. Because you comment on something you have no idea about. You should watch the fight, I'm sure its on YouTube or something. It was seriously the most action packed, slugfest of the year. Bar none.

Lara literally stood in front of Hurd and traded power shots for the entire 12 rounds. He never took one step backwards the whole fight. It was the most action-packed, fan-friendly fight in a long, long time.

You are a complete idiot. Just watch the fight. It is Fight of the Year.

Don't know why ignorant idiots feel entitled to make things up, simply because they are too lazy to watch the Fight of the Year.

Lara/Hurd was a great fight but Hurd won it. I do not know what Castano is made of but I guess we'll find out soon enough. Looking forward to it.

Lara stood toe to toe against Hurd. If he fought the way he did against Canelo, he'd probably won the Hurd fight.
