Lara is at that stage where he either needs to retire or accept gatekeeper status.

I agree. Picked up where Casamayor left off.

I get that he outboxed Canelo in a boring fashion. But Lara-Hurd is Fight of the Year. And that is because Lara stood in front of Hurd the entire fight and traded power shots with him the entire fight.

That is why you are red w/zero rep. Because you comment on something you have no idea about. You should watch the fight, I'm sure its on YouTube or something. It was seriously the most action packed, slugfest of the year. Bar none.
Truth except the part where you said most people had Lara winning. Most people DID NOT have Lara winning that fight.

Lara needs to accept his losses. He should have another L on his resume vs Molina (who he wanted no part of in a rematch).

            I had Lara technically winning

But when you get dropped in the 12th the chances of you getting a decision in a close fight is usually slim to none

              Outboxed Canelo?

Canelo Landed more power punches than Lara.

It was a cherrypick gone bad for Lara and Decubas.
Years ago they wanted to cherrypick Harrison after Tony dismantled Rabchenko.
That was when Decubas and Lara were promoting the Zaveck fight,
while at the same time dropping GGG's name for special effects.
Harrison said, "No sir, I'm not cheap. I don't need no lowball offer."
And so Tony went for Hurd, but lost unfortunately.
Lara's team then tried to go after green Hurd, instead of Charlo and Andrade.
Hurd said, "I'm not ready yet," then went after Trout, instead.
You can figure out the conclusion of the story.

POR FAVOR? C'mon Son! You did well, but Hurd put them things on you, and deserved the "W" so it is what it is! However, if you beat Castano, then all is forgotten! VAMONOS! CUBA LIBRE!

I had him up, but getting dropped in the 12th took it from him. He needs to be real with himself.

Interesting the different points of view of the Lara/Hurd fight. I didnt score but I remember thinking Hurd had it won going into the 12th but only by a point or two. The knock down sealed it.
