Why did Ortiz go quiet and sign another fight instead of Whyte?

People are claiming Whyte ducked but what evidence is there of that? Has Ortiz claimed anything, is he still calling Whyte out? Seems to me both have gone quiet and gone different ways, so why are people claiming one ducked but not the other?

Whyte could've fought Ortiz but Hearn was just using it to get Chisora to change his demands. Ortiz wanted to fight on the Wilder Fury undercard but Whyte considered it too soon. Neither ducked the other. If anything, Eddie Hearn is the reason.

Eddie always said they intended to make the Chisora rematch. Don't act like Ortiz was ever made a real offer for the Dec 22nd date....

Ortiz did and said nothing to indicate he wanted the fight. Both went different ways. Doesn't suit a certain fanbases agenda though, they have to drag Whyte down at every opportunity because they're salty their guy ducked Whyte.

Ortiz wanted the fight and said so. I don't even know what this BS thread is about. Who are you trying to convince?

Whyte was always coming to fight his rematch that date. It’s a repeat thing with Hearn and crew name drop and fight the all along intended target.

Whyte said so too. Has either fighter said anything about the fight or negotiations since? Both went different ways, so why is only one being called out for it?
